Chapter one

<p>"Oh you had no right!" Heather warned as she looked at her mom, Linda angrily,<br/>"You don't get to choose what or who I get to spend the rest of my life with" she added as the tears she had fought so hard to hold in slid down her cheeks, right now , she didn't care what she looked like or how many people were watching, she just had to let her mom hear her thoughts and that's all that mattered.<br/>" I didn't get to choose who to marry either love" her mom said soothingly as she stood up from her seat and walked towards her, " but look, I'm ha..."<br/>"Enough with that crap" Heather cut her short , "I've heard it all before, you're happy" she said , scoffing at the last words in her sentence.<br/>"You're happy selling your kids to richer families for wealth huh!"<br/>"You're happy seeing you're kids cry everyday just because they couldn't get to choose who to stay with for the rest of their lives as long as you get to keep your business running"<br/>"You're happy you say?" She questioned.<br/>"Have you already forgotten what happend to Sage, or should I re..."<br/>Heather stopped between her words as she felt a hot slap land on her right cheek, the sound resounding loudly through the room and she stood in shock, her hand moving subconsciously to cover the area on her face that now had her mom's handprint over it.<br/>The sound of arriving footsteps filled the room as Lisa, her mom's secretary walked in, everyone was watching, through the glass walls that surrounded her mom's office , but she didn't care , she didn't care if they heard her or if they had seen her mom slap her, she really didn't, what was more important than her future? Embarrassment? Obviously not.<br/> Heather had been out shopping with her friends when a notification popped up on her phone, it was from Haven, her third sister , and the news in it had made her normally smiling face turn pale and indifferent, before she had rushed off to get to her mom's office, she didn't even bother to go get her car from the parking lot, and had instead taken a taxi to her mom's office, The Lavandore Inc, where she unlike her usual self, had walked passed everyone, without so much as a smile and headed straight to her mom's office.<br/>"Mrs.Halloway"Lisa spoke lightly as she walked in, "everyone is watching" she added cautiously.<br/>Linda didn't stop to look at Lisa and neither did Heather,<br/>"The wedding is on whether you like it or not" Linda spoke finally getting out of the shock from the slap, she had never hit any of her kid's before , but today, especially since Heather had bought up Sage's name, she just couldn't hold it.<br/>She paused to take a step back from Heather as she moved lightly to seat at her desk before she added.<br/>"Make sure not to leave town before it's done" she added.<br/>"What's next on my schedule?" She asked , diverting her attention from Heather who still stood in shock to Lisa,<br/>" A meeting with JB group" Lisa said lightly.<br/>"I'm busy, you should leave" Linda said to the astounded Heather standing in the middle of her office.<br/>Heather sighed , then took a deep breathe before she adjusted her hair that had covered her face from the slap impact then headed for the door.<br/>" You should have been nicer to her" Lisa said after she watched Heather disappear into the hallway and Linda sighed.<br/>"She'll be fine" she said her eyes never leaving the open file infront of her.<br/>" Or Won't she ?" She asked looking up as her eyes met Lisa's, they were wet with tears, she was crying too.<br/> "Austin Moore?" Amber asked anxiously as she looked at Heather , she was thrilled at the thought and yet taken aback by it, Heather and Austin? Who would have seen that coming?<br/>"Austin Moore like Bella's ex?" Fall asked as she walked into the room holding three glasses around her arm and a bottle of wine<br/>"Well, I don't know if we should be celebrating this or crying over it"she said truthfully as she placed the glasses and bottle down infront of Heather and Amber before slumping herself down into the sofa next to Heather who sat with her head resting over Amber's shoulder , Amber had her hand in her hair, soothing lightly.<br/>"I mean, he's hot for sure, a snack if am allowed to say" she said as she winked at Amber who despite wanting to laugh held her laughter.<br/>"I mean if I was the one getting married to him I would say I've hit the jackpot" she added<br/>"But on the other side, he's a Moore" she said bending towards the wine and opening it to fill their glasses as she continued.<br/>"And we know what Jackson did to Sage" she added as she sat up straight with two glasses in her hand, she handed one to Amber and took a sip on the other before handing it to Heather.<br/>"Right?"Heather said as she sat up straight,<br/>" I can't marry into that family, they ...." She paused as tears slid down her cheeks.<br/>"It hasn't even been a year" she chocked as she pulled the blanket tighter against her while Amber took the glass from her and placed their glasses down as all the girls moved in to hug her, she in the middle.<br/>They sat in quiet as Heather sobbed, none of them saying a thing as they let her take it all out, she cried, till her eyes were red and bugged.<br/>"I'm sorry guys" she said apologetically as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand , " I promised not to cry but look at me" she joked<br/>"Well, that's Heather for us" Fall said as she rubbed her shoulder lightly and her eyes teared up again.<br/>" We got you" Fall said as she pulled her in for a hug .<br/>" Go get her some wipes" she told Amber who stood up to go fetch the wipes.<br/>"We should escape" Fall whispered into her ears after Amber had left,<br/>"We can go to Maldives, or on some island in Africa and no one will find us there " she added and Heather laughed.<br/>"I'm serious " she cautioned as she looked down at her.<br/>" I would love too, but what about her?" She asked , nodding in the direction that Amber had just disappeared to.<br/>"Well knowing her she wouldn't agree , would she?" Fall asked and Heather laughed.<br/>"I hope you're not planning on escaping" ,"and Fall please don't put ideas in her head" Amber said as she came back with a box of tissues and handed it to Heather.<br/>"As if you would let us" Fall said as she looked smilingly at Heather<br/>"I know that smile" she said as she rolled her eyes at them<br/>"Well?" fall asked<br/>"Well nothing, you all know as much as I do that they'll find her, before she even steps foot out of the country , are your forgetting who owns shares in all the airports around here?" She asked as she looked between them<br/> " However" she added "we can choose to do all the crazy things there could be , we have two weeks right?" She asked</p>
