CHAPTER 4: LUI CORPORATION

Lui Corporation is one of the largest conglomerates in the country. It is seated at the heart of the city. It is also one of the pioneering companies in terms of technology.

With its first class amenities, Lui Corporation is the one leading in stock market for 10 consecutive years. Benedict Lui is the CEO and founding chairman of the company holds its dignity very well.

At 7 am, Benjamin holding a pile of documents found knocking at the CEO's office.

"Come in." said the voice behind the door.

A creek from the door is heard and Benjamin let himself in and carefully placed the documents at the right side of Benedict's table.

Benedict is busy in his laptop and at the same time reading some documents.

"Is this all?" asked Benedict.

"Yes sir. I compressed all of the necessary documents for the signing of contract with Aurora Inc." replied Benjamin.

"Good. You may go now." said Benedict.

"Excuse me sir." said Benjamin and walked straight towards the door.

Door shuts and Benjamin sighed as he walked towards his table.

"Aurora Inc. is not stable at all. Why would he do with business with them?" asked Benjamin on his mind. He does not want to interfere with Benedict's decisions so he just sighed and pondered his thoughts about the contract.

Lui Corporation has not done business deals that are not profitable on both sides. Through the years of its existence, Aurora Inc. is not a suitable candidate for business deals because of its unstability. It has many potential to grow but it has limited to its state due to the management itself.

Benjamin knowing his master may have planned already about how he can salvage Aurora from its state. As he convinced himself that maybe it is that way, he continued on his work on his table like the many of Lui Corporation's staff.

At exactly 5 pm, the sound of alarms ringing. It indicated that it is time to head home and work at the Lui Corp. has been stopped for that day.

Benjamin went to the parking area and drove towards the entrance of the building and waited his master at the lobby. After seeing Benedict, he hurried to him and pushed his wheelchair for him and then placed him at front seat of the car. Benjamin ignited the car and drove towards home.

Thinking about Aurora Inc., Benjamin kept staring at his master through the rear.

He couldn't grasp his master's thinking of why Lui Corp. suddenly ventured on aviation and on top of that, buying Aurora Inc. will cost more damage to them than to gain.

He was lost in thoughts while driving and Benedict seemed to notice it.

"Is something wrong?" suddenly his master asked.

"N-nothing sir.." Benjamin was taken aback.

He wanted to voice out his opinion regarding Aurora, but he felt he may be imposing.

"Speak.." added Benedict.

Benjamin is reluctant but couldn't help it. "Is just that, Aurora is on its verge of bankruptcy. I am afraid we will rather lose than gain from it sir."

Benedict did not respond causing him to be anxious.

"I'm sorry sir, if I doubted your decision.." he said with fear in his voice.

"Its nothing. I am glad to hear your opinion on this matter." Benedict said while glancing at him at the mirror not showing any expression.

Benedict didn't rebut on his butler's opinion.

He just listened to it.

He did not reveal the main reason why he wanted to buy Aurora.

Lui Corp. is commended by its stability and so as its partner corporations. Having Aurora Inc. under its wing will have an effect on its stability because it's a company that needs reorganization and many companies are against it.

Lui Corp. continued its negotiations with the chairman.

At a nearby cafeteria, Benedict and Benjamin as well as the chairman of Aurora Inc. to come up a conclusion.

"Sir Alreck.. You don't have to worry about the employees at all. I won't fire a single person in the company. I'll just re-assign them according to what's most fitted to them. That's why, I will do the reorg." said Benedict in his business tone.

Marvin Alreck, is just as young as Benedict. They are both accomplished in the business sector but the difference is, Marvin is still single and his company is about to go bankrupt while Benedict is widow with a company that is flourishing.

He has fine features as well. Handsome enough to be ranked the same as the male artists in the entertainment industry.

"Hmmm.. I just can't let go of my shares just like that. I mean, this is my father's company, originally. He founded it with his blood and sweat. Thinking about it, I can't just let go of it easily." he said declining the offer of Benedict.

"But seeing as it is right now, the company will be bankrupt and go to waste if you will not hand it over me. I mean, I am the only one who can save your company. Who will be good enough to buy something like this when it's about to go bankrupt?" imposing Benedict.

"I will think it over." replied Marvin.

"Just don't be so long. We both know that it is only me who can save your company." Benedict in a confident manner.

If it is someone else, they'd be offended by Benedict but Marvin did not. He know that it is the truth and only time will tell that the company his father founded will be ruined if he will not sell his shares to Lui Corp.

"So until the next meeting, I will hear your decision and hopefully you will be thinking for the good of this company." said Benedict and offer a handshake.

"I will. Thank you. I will just call you." answered Marvin and accepting his hand.

The two parties then separate its ways.
