Chapter 40:Did You Like My Gift?

"Dio!" Kintaro shout in surprise and worries,as the robber was holding a sharp knife while Dio catch his hand.

"What the?!" The robber exclaimed and try to pull back his hand but Dio's Grip was holding still and like an unmovable mountain.

Lucia on the side was calling the police as her hand was still trembling from the experience that happened to her.

Since the robber can't move his hand,he suddenly put his other hand on his pocket before revealing another a Sharp knife, similar to the one that he currently holding.

Dio was taken a back and he only see that the robber was Stabbing the knife toward his arm.

Dio react quickly as he let go the hand of the robber,but his arm still got cutted by the edge of the knife,that make him bleed a little as he wince slightly.

Kintaro saw this as he suddenly run toward Dio to help him,but Dio shout and said

"Don't come over! protect yourself!"

The time did Dio shout.the robber smirk as he continue to stab the other knife toward Dio while he was still distracted.

This time,Dio didn't react on time,so he suffer an injury from that stab, before growling in pain as he grab the hand of the robber and slamming him on the floor.

The robber then growl in pain as he feel that his spine had been broken into piece,before falling unconscious.

Kintaro then run toward Dio as his face show a look of worry and guilt.

"Are you alright?do you want me to call the ambulance?" Kintaro asked in concern.

Dio grit his teeth as he said "I'm fine.just a little band-aid and it will fix it"

"Who do you think your fooling?" Kintaro said As he look down before saying

"I'm sorry.If I didn't distract you earlier,you wouldn't have this injury "He said while looking on ground and a look of guilt shown on his eyes, which shedding a tears.

Dio then pat Kintaro's Back as he comfort

"It's not your fault.you're not the one who stab me anyway " Dio said before whispering to Kintaro "It's okay for me to be the one who's hurt than you" He said gently.

Kintaro was still looking on the ground and didn't give a response to Dio's word as he was still feeling guilty on his heart.

After a while,the police came and ask the details about the incident as they arrested the robber on the ground who's now already awake from being unconscious earlier.

Kintaro then went to the convenience store,to buy a gauze, sanitizer and band-aid for Dio's wound.

Kintaro then slowly and carefully clean the wound as he said "I'm sorry again.if not for my action you would-...."

Before he finish speaking,he suddenly felt that Dio was touching his face and hear him say "Don't worry about it, it's not your fault.besides,it will heal quickly....you know, I'm a dragon" he comfort Kintaro as he whisper "I will always take care of you.I will take all the risk and danger that you face and I will destroy it" before patting Kintaro's head.

Kintaro suddenly stop cleaning Dio's wound as he look at him in a daze.

Kintaro suddenly try to reach Dio's face but he fall unconscious and slowly lay his head on Dio's Chest.

Dio was worry and thought that maybe the robber have harm Kintaro earlier before he appear,so he check his body to see if there has a wound before releasing a sigh of release after knowing that Kintaro only fall asleep because of tiredness.

Mayumi was also talking to Lucia as she help her calm down from the incident earlier.

Lucia then feel warm as Mayumi continue to talk to her before falling sleep soundly on Mayumi's Shoulder.

Dio was letting Kintaro sleep on him when his phone suddenly ring on his pocket.

He pick it up and saw that an unknown number was calling him.he frown while Answering the phone call as he said

"Hello, who's this?" In a confused voice.

[Hello,honey!Did you like my gift?] A girly voice suddenly sounded on the other line.

Dio's eye suddenly widened as he said in furious voice "It's you!Cindy!" As he clench on the phone really hard.

[ Woah,how aggressive!] Cindy then laugh evily before saying [that's what you get for throwing me out of your life!]she said in cold tone.

"If I didn't have a mercy in the past.Im sure you and your family will still living under the rock!" Dio said Coldly as he hang-up the phone.

Kintaro, who's peacefully sleeping suddenly speak softly "Dio....Dont do that again...." As he snore quietly.

Dio was caught off guard before breathing a sigh of relief as he began to rub Kintaro's hair and smile gently.

After the incident.Lucia is now much more calmer and already recover from her shock.

They all continue to rehearse their Play after resting for a week when a happy day finally come.

It's Lucia's birthday! What's more amazing was that Her and Mayumi had the same birthday which they have a nickname called The Twin Flames.

"Since it's your birthday today,What do you think if we celebrate it here for now?" Dio suggested with a smile.

Everyone then cheer up as they prepare for Lucia and Mayumi birthday today!
