chapter 41: it's time to meet her

[hikimi and toby walk to the next strand hotspot]

Hikimi: I wonder how many strand users are here.

Toby: I'm not sure I just want to get this done.

[hikimi looks at toby surprised]

Hikimi: why?, is something wrong?.

Toby: Nothing's wrong, it's just we're killing innocent people that do what they can to survive.

[hikimi looks at toby surprised]

Hikimi: didn't you kill innocent people?.

[toby looks at hikimi with empty eyes]

Toby: I killed the worst of the worst when I was in the military and when I was a hitman when there was a job to kill an innocent woman or child I never accepted because I was waiting for the jobs with terrorists or killers.

Toby: never get me mixed up as a mindless killer like how your captain is.

[hikimi looks at toby surprised]

Hikimi: what do you mean?.

Toby: You'll figure it out sooner or later.

[toby walks ahead of hikimi]

Hikimi: wait up.

Toby: Keep up, I'm not waiting on someone who thinks killing the innocent is right.

[hikimi and toby see the strand hotspot ahead of them]

[toby points at the house]

Toby: there it is, now hurry up so we can get this done.

Hikimi: ok.

[narimo inside hikimi's head]

Narimo: I want to warn you before you go inside that house.

Hikimi: ok, what is it?.

Narimo: that house used to belong to yoichi so please be careful not to destroy it.

Hikimi: I'll make sure not to destroy it.

Narimo: Thank you.

[hikimi and toby arrive at yoichi's house]

Hikimi: the voice inside my head said this house was owned by someone called yoichi.

Toby: ok, what does that have to do with the mission?.

Hikimi: They don't want us to destroy the house because this house means alot to them.

Toby: [sigh] ok.

[hikimi and toby go inside yoichi's house]

Toby: get ready they could be anywhere.

Hikimi: ok.

[hikimi pulls out her sword]

Hikimi: I won't use my oppressors strand here because it'll destroy the house.

Toby: ok.

[toby pulls his gun out]

Toby: At the count of three get ready.

Hikimi: ok.

Toby: 1..

Toby: 2..

Toby: 3..

Toby: now!.

Hikimi: ok.

[toby fires off a warning shot]

Toby: Wait a second.

[the strand users run after hikimi and toby]

Hikimi: Toby, watch out.

[hikimi uses her sword to cut three strand users in half]

Toby: Not bad.

Hikimi: thanks.

[toby uses his gun to mow down a horde of strand users]

Toby: That's at least 30.

Hikimi: how many of them are there?.

Toby: There's at least 20 more.

Hikimi: ok.

[hikimi uses her sword to cut a strand users head off]

Hikimi: there.

[hikimi sees a strand user behind toby]

Hikimi: toby!.

[toby turns around and sticks his gun in the strand users mouth and blows it's brains out]

Toby: thanks, that was a close one.

Hikimi: [sigh] finally they're all dead.

Toby: I know right.

Hikimi: Well, where's the next hotspot?.

Toby: I'm not sure.

[toby looks at the map]

Toby: The next hot spot is at an abandoned mall.

Hikimi: ok.

[toby and hikimi walk out of yoichi's house]

Hikimi: I'm tired after that one.

Toby: I know right.

Hikimi: the next hotspot is at the abandoned mall right?.

Toby: Yeah, I thought I told you a few minutes ago.

Hikimi: You did, I was just making sure we were going to the right place.

Toby: oh, ok.

[yadara sees hikimi and toby walk down the street]

Yadara: I guess I should meet the one that has narimo's saviour strand.

[yadara sees hikimi and toby get farther and farther away]

Yadara: Well there's no waiting with this one. If I get captured by her then I'll have no choice but to use my branch of power.

[yadara puts on his mask and jumps building to building to catch up with them]

Yadara: Here we go.

[yadara jumps off the roof of a building and runs at toby]

Yadara: you wanted me, here i am!!.

[yadara punches toby in the stomach knocking him out]

Toby: [cough] what the?.

[yadara turns around and looks at hikimi with dead eyes]

Yadara: So you're the hikimi sakuma I've heard so much about.

[hikimi pulls out her sword]

[yadara laughs]

Yadara: please, you know that saviours strand of yours won't allow you to kill me.

[hikimi looks at yadara surprised]

Hikimi: what do you mean?.

Yadara: oh, they haven't told you.

[yadara laughs]

Yadara: You are inside my sister's body.

[hikimi looks at yadara surprised]

Hikimi: what?.

Yadara: You are only a consciousness taking over my sister's body.

Hikimi: I can't be.

Yadara: Well you are, and you're taking over my sister's consciousness as well.

Hikimi: Is that the voice inside my head?.

Yadara: yes, it means that she is trying to take her body back.

[hikimi looks at yadara surprised]

Hikimi: what?.

Yadara: Here I'll give you a sneak peek.

[yadara takes off his mask and smiles]

Yadara: Just because my sister is inside of you doesn't mean I wont hurt you.

Hikimi: what?.

[yadara kicks hikimi in the ribs knocking her out]

Yadara: Now, it's only time before narimo takes her body back.

Yadara: Hopefully it's after I use the branch of power.

[yadara notices a police car in the distance]

Yadara: crap i got to go.

[yadara uses his executioners strand to jump building to building to get away from hikimi and toby]

Yadara: Just a little longer till i use the branch of power, until then i need to make sure the police know my intentions.

[yadara looks at the sky]

Yadara: [sigh] hikimi sakuma don't get in my way, i don't want to have to kill you.
