Stalking?

"Give me my phone back!" she yelled at him, but when she tried to get closer to retrieve the device, he just raised his arm. He was way taller. Gwen could jump as much as she wanted, however, she could never get it.

While she was jumping, her chest brushed against his torso, for she was looking up. Ethan inhaled the air. It had been a long while since he last had any contact with a woman. Physical contact. Especially with her. Gwen.

He cleared his throat and put her phone in his pocket.

"What the hell do you want, Ethan?" She asked, her face all flushed. It activated his memories of when they would be in bed and… He shook his head. Not the moment for that!

"I said I need your number." he said, with a cold face and tone.

"Whatever you say. I told you I have grandpa's number, so, I don't need to give you mine." she sighed. "Please, Ethan. Let 's be adults. Give me my phone back." Gewn asked and extended her hand, with her palm up.

"No." He said. "I want your number. Now." He got his own phone and opened it. She thought about getting it from his hand, but he seemed to notice her intentions and looked at her. "Don't even think about it."

But she did think about it. And, when he was distracted, she tried to take it. He got hold of her wrist and pulled her to him. She was looking up, his face very close to hers. They stayed like that for a few secondss, but she used her free hand to push his chest.

"Let go of me!" he did, but for a split moment, Gwen saw confusion pass by his eyes. But it was just a mere second, before his gaze became cold again.

"When you're ready to give me your number, we'll be able to mind our own business."

"Aaargh!" She was more than angry. He had never seen her like that. Even after she found out Darla was pregnant, she didn't act so furious. He liked her cheek colors when she was like that. He smirked. He should annoy her some more in the future.

"So?" he said and she glared at him, full of hate. She spilled the number and he quickly took not on his phone. Then, he got her device from his pocket and handed it to her.

She grabbed it and stormed away from him. He didn't follow her, but moved his body so he could take a good look at her back while she was walking away. 'She might be a nuisance, but she was pretty', he thought. 'Stop it, Ethan!'. He scolded himself and got in the elevator again. His car was outside the building.

"I can't believe that bastard!" Jan said, after listening to all Gwen had to say about Ethan's behavior. "And you are not leaving town. Too bad for him that he doesn't like you. You're staying. This is a free country."

"Absolutely. But he is such a pest, Jaan!" Gwen made a crying voice. "I don't know how longer I can take it."

Jan took a sip of her milkshake.

"If he keeps doing that, we will go to the police and he will see who is leaving town."

"I just don't do it now because grandpa is too old and I know he would be heartbroken."

Jan shrugged. She liked the old man, but she didn't think it was fair that Gwen had to take responsibility over Ethan's misbehavior. But she was not gonna say anything to upset or make Gwen worry. They would have a nice time and her best friend would be able to relax and forget a bit her idiotic ex-husband.

"Time to find our dress." Jan said, smiling and it made Gwen smiled as well.

They both spent the next two hours looking for a dress and Gwen was very satisfied with the result.

"That is the good thing about having a perfect body, huh?" Jan said. "You don't need adjustment."

"My body is far from perfect." Gwen said. "The dress was just perfect for me. That's all."

Jan shook her head. Gwen would never believe how beautiful she was. And Ethan didn't help much in the matter for those three years. Jan really hated Ethan.

From some distance, Ethan was watching Gwen and Jan. He went to the mall to buy a new butterfly tie for the event and found Gwen and Jan there. He didn't even realized he was following them.

His phone rang and he immediately took his phone from his pocket. It was Brandon.

"Hey, what's up?' Brandon asked.

"I am the one asking this. You called me." Ethan was in no mood for a call. Damn! Where were them?

"Are you busy?" Brandon asked.

"A bit." Ethan asked, frowning and going to where he thought was the last time he saw Gwen and Jan.

"Ethan, what the hell are you doing? You said you 'd go buy a new tie. Well…"

Ethan felt a hand on his shoulder and immediately turned around. It was Brandon, who was looking at him and, then, to where Ethan was staring before.

"Is that Gwen?" He asked.

"I… don't know." Ethan answered, shrugging and looking as if he was seeing nothing. He cursed her mentaly. She was not there a moment ago!

"Sure… what are you doing? Stalking her?"

"Stop talking nonsense! Have you gone mad? Why would I stalk this wench?"

"Because you like her." Brandon said as if was obvious and Ethan looked at him without believing his ears.

"You're insane." He said. "Now, let's go buy that damn tie and leave this place. I hate it."

"So much hate in this little heart." Brandon said and took a look at Gwen. "You sure you don't like her?"

"I don't!" Ethan hissed.

"And you don't mind her with another man?"

"She is my ex, Brandon. Past. I'm thankful I'm not married to her anymore."

"Oh, good. My parents have been pestering me to marry and all. You know them. Since Gwen is available, I'll talk to her."

Ethan stopped on his tracks. Brandon was looking at Gwen with interest.

"You fucking bastard!"
