At Empire City, the residents of a mansion located in the middle of a man-made forest were hiding and cowering in fear afraid that even the slightest sound made by their movements would make a certain man more agitated than he ready was.
He has been agitated since his entrance into the human realm. The moment he crossed the boundary between the two realms, his wolf had been restless trying to force his way out to take charge for a reason that was still unknown to him.
The aura he emitted was so strong that whoever goes near would turn around and walk away from there and take a different route.
Most of the meetings that he was supposed to attend had been canceled because of his loss of control over his wolf. He didn't want to get angry and snap off the heads of the humans he would be having the meetings with knowing how annoying humans can be. The only meeting that wasn't canceled was the meeting with the alphas of the packs in the human realm.
In the meeting, they were to discuss the cause of the increasing number of rogues among the packs. There have even been a few reports of rogue lycans roaming on earth. This matter was very serious since rogue lycans are bad news to all. Both the humans and the supernatural creatures would be in danger if truly there were rogue lycans out there.
But due to the constant mood swings of the man, the meeting was brought to an abrupt end and rescheduled for another day.
Raal his beta, and Kevin his gamma were able to get him out and away from everyone else into his bedroom trying to find out what was wrong with their alpha. He has never lost control before, though ferocious but never due to loss of control. She could not imagine what an out-of-control alpha king would do if he was let loose.
"Alpha, what's wrong? This has never happened before....right?" Kevin, the gamma asked. His question sounded more like he was trying to convince himself and not seeking an answer from his alpha.
"Your eyes, they are black. Your wolf wants control, are you sure you are alright?" Asked Raal the beta. He has been with the alpha king for many years now but he has never seen him lose control like he was right at the moment.
"I am fine." Came his curt reply. He was holding his head while massaging his temple and occasionally shaking it vigorously to keep sane.
"No, Alex. You are anything but fine." Real said as he approached his alpha. "why don't you let him out for a bit, let him run, maybe after that he will sleep once more." Raal suggested.
Alex looked at his beta for a second, he did not reply but he woke from his seat and started heading for the door. "Let's go," he said while opening the door. They both left and followed him out.
Reaching outside, Alex threw a key at Raal and said, "Drive." and pulled open the door for himself.
"Where are we going alpha?" Kevin asked and waited for an answer that never came. Alexander who was already inside the car shot him a glare and that was enough to tell him to get in and drive as he has been told. Sighing, he entered and started the engine.
The drive was long and boring but at the same time kept on the edge of their seats. Alex had asked to drive out of the city but ignored every question that they asked him. He gave no reason behind the order and they could not force him to talk as he was their alpha and not to mention his current bad mood.
The more they drove into the night, the edgier Alex was getting. She could not even chat as they usually did because of the king's mood. Kevin in particular. Kevin liked to talk but now he was forced to stay quiet. What annoyed them more was that the ride does not have a destination but they had to do it for their alpha. It's not like they were complaining, but they were bored.
"Turn left." came a sudden command from Alex.
"Alpha, if we go this way we will head directly into the heart of the storm," Raal said trying to reason with the alpha but receiving a growl from him instead. He opened his mouth to say something but before he could, Alex's hand held the steering wheel and turned left. Raal almost missed the turn which made Alex move with an inhuman speed to grab the steering. The sudden turn caused a commotion with the other cars on the road.
After the turn, Alex returned to his resting position with his eyes closed. He could feel his wolf clawing at the back of his head trying to break free. Suddenly, his eyes flew open, and he ordered, "Stop the car." Instinctively, Raal stepped on the brake pedal bringing the car to a screeching halt immediately.
Before they could ask what caused the sudden stop, they heard the car door open and slammed shut and saw Alex shifting to his beast.
While they were driving, Alexander was trying to figure out what was happening to him and that he was having difficulty controlling his wolf. The moment he figured out what was happening he ordered they should stop the car. For an unknown reason, the car became too slow for his liking even though it was a sports car. He shifted to his lycan form and started running on all fours like a bullet through the darkness of the night.
"Shit." Real cursed. "Get in the car," Raal yelled at Kevin who had already gone down to follow his alpha. Knowing that Alex was going too fast, he stepped on the accelerator running traffic to catch up to him for a long time before he does something reckless. "F*ck you Alex." he cursed as he sped the car chasing after him.
Alex gave charge to his wolf and allowed his animal instincts to lead him. He ran at a full and appears to be like a single white dot on black painted canvas. It was beautiful to see.
After much running, he finally arrive at his destination. He stood and looked at the house in front for a second to observe the environment. Then he saw some vampires enter the house and his eyes which were already onyx turned crimson. There was only one thing he understood and that was that they were a threat and he needed to get rid of them and he charged forward.

Inside the house, Lillie who was still crying heard footsteps approaching. They were too fast to be the footsteps of humans so she understood that the fight was not yet over. She was tired and in pain both physically and emotionally but she had to fight if she wants a chance of survival. Letting go of her aunt's body, Lillie picked up the dangers once again. staggering to her feet, she tried to stabilize herself and waited for them to come.
They entered from all directions putting in a perfect circle letting her know that she has no escape route to take. They were about five vampires and four werewolves in total. They had come to make sure that everything was done properly by the previous set.
She looked at them and took a fighting stance ready to defend herself. She was hurt and tired and they knew that yet they did not give her a chance of survival.
They started walking toward her in a predator-like manner. But before they could completely close in on her, a beautiful and majestic white beast stepped in, glaring at them, ready to slaughter everyone within his sight. He has not her yet, but her intoxicating scent lingered around and was more than enough to make his possessive and protective instincts kick in on their own.
The vampires and werewolves that were approaching Lillie stopped immediately they saw him enter. Cold sweat started rolling and dripping off their backs. Their target and focus were instantly changed to the beast that just joined the battle.
Some of the shooters that were present did not even know why they were after the girl but seeing the alpha long there only meant bad news for their side and they understood that very well. They were rogues, not fools.
Lillie who saw all of that had mixed feelings. Was the beast inside helping her? Or was he just eliminating competition so he could take her himself? She was not sure and she still kept her guard watching with keen eyes. She dared not to believe that he was there to help her. None of those creatures had ever stopped to help in the past and she was not expecting anything to do that now either. Lillie watched closely and saw as he did away with everyone with ease. His movements were so graceful and precisely like he was not even trying.
She prayed inwardly that she should not get to fight him. She has been the fear in the eyes of those...things the moment they saw him. It was like compared to him, they were all insects and the way he got rid of them easily was proof of that. She did not want to fight him not when she was this weak. Heck, even if she was at her full strength she will not be able to last two minutes with him. Then won't the fight be over even before it begins? It was a lost cause.
The fear she saw in them was enough to tell how powerful he was. She couldn't help but admire him and be intrigued by him even as she has just seen how brutally he wasted his kind.
He turned his head towards her when everyone else was lying unmoving on the cold and bloody floor. Her heart skipped a bit at the sudden attention she got but she was not afraid. He did not instill any fear in her. His presence provided her with weird comfort. He shifts back to his human form as he started approaching her, he did not mind the fact that he was standing naked before her.
Seeing that she was no longer in danger, her mind and body relaxed as she watched him draw closer to her. She tried to stop her eyes from wandering from his face to his tempting body. She looked into his eyes and they were able to take her attention away from his body. His eyes... They were telling her not to be afraid and she believed the message it conveyed to her.
Her body caved in and the pain and fatigue that has been threatening to swallow her whole consumed and she passed out. Alexander rushed forward and snaked his hands around her body before she could hit the ground.
