It has been 5 years since the dungeons appeared; the world has since adjusted, in what can be considered a short time. People are now either awakened or not, those who are awakened are able to gain a lot of fame and money through the exploration of the dungeons. With this new world organizations like the Association of registered Awakened made by the government, sets the laws to keep the peace and stop all-out war hitting the streets between awakened. However, thanks to them groups of awakened could be made called Guilds; they are very profitable, which is why many major corporations also invested a lot into them.

In the new world when the dungeons appeared many awakened talents and professions that gave super human abilities. No one knows why this happened, but it allowed people to fight back against the monsters that were in the dungeons; this was a very good thing since a dungeon that was left alone for too long would release its monsters into the world, causing a lot of death and chaos.

When a person awakens or if they awaken isn't known and very frequently comes as a surprise, when a person awakens they usually go to the Association so that they can be registered and they abilities can be measured. The exact measurement is impossible for now so they give out ranking in grade form from A-F; those with exceptional and unmeasurable power are classified as S rank, which is rare.

This was happening worldwide and in the United States, there was a large following of the hunters, especially with the social media showing their achievements and making them more famous. This cause the Awakened to be seen in some cases like celebrities, to the point that they even get sponsors and do commercials.

Today is a special occasion for Miguel at the Association Las Vegas Branch, since last night he was surprised by a strange sensation for which he went to the hospital; where he was diagnosed with Awakening syndrome, which caused a fever and release a strong amount of magic power, causing them to emit pulsing aura around them which even interfered with electrical equipment near them.

When Miguel arrived at the association the day after to recieve a rank, he was given a physical exam, placed in a tube like machine to read their profession and skills, then given a weapon with which he would be able to fight captive monsters. The results showed that Miguel was slightly stronger than a normal person; the beginner captive monster, a goblin, was pushed back but managed to cut his arm so the examiner decided to stop. Even though the association had seen the profession that showed "Necromancer" it apparently did not show any skills.

Miguel walked home disappointed and decided to go visit his grandmother at an elderly home. The building he arrived at was 5 stories and she lived on the 4th floor.

Miguel arrives with his grandmother "hey Abue, how are you doing"

A short older lady with silver white hair took short quick steps to walk up to him with her arms extended "Miguelito I'm so glad you came today, are you hungry I just ate and can put together a plate for you" before Miguel could answer she walks over to the kitchen and starts to serve him a plate.

"sure, sounds good" Miguel walks over to the table and sits down waiting eagerly for the delicious food. Once his grandmother gives him the food he explains to her what had happened since the day before.

"don't worry Miguelito, its not the end of the world… look at it this way" she changes to a happier tone "it's too soon to give up, now that you awakened even if it's a little bit you are stronger. God puts obstacles in our way to make us stronger when you ask for strength, your still young so don't worry you have plenty of time to get stronger"

The old woman looks at the time and gets up "oh, it's late, I have to go." Carlos looks confused "where are you going Abue?"

"My neighbor, that I was close with was put on life support at the hospital and the family asked me to be there when the disconnect her"

Miguel was worried for his grandmother "I'll come with you, Abue"

They both head out of the complex and arrive at the hospital, when they enter they see the family around the hospital bed and Miguel stands to the side as his grandmother greats everyone.

"Thank god you could make it Doña Lili, I know mom would be happy to know you were here" the family member tears up a little as she speaks "The staff is on their way to disconnect her now"

The medical staff walk into the hospital room and Miguel moves to a corner so that he does not bother them or the grieving family. They inform the family of the procedure and everyone looks saddened "please just get on with it, she has suffered long enough". The staff proceed to disconnect the patient from the life support equipment then wait as they watch the monitor show a heart rate gradually reduce. When the heart flatlines and the doctor checks the pupils, he looks at the nurse "time of death 1310 hours" they then proceed to turn off the monitors and the family members burst into tears.

Miguel saddened by his grandmother's loss bows his head in silence, suddenly a message pops up in front of him as is he was in a game "prerequisites for profession skill has been met, Talent Menu has been created" and bellow it another message "weak soul has been found and absorbed".
