Mysterious Figure.

"Kid do you know who you just killed," One of the guards couldn't help but speak in fear.

The cause of their fear wasn't the kid in front of them. Although his actions were ruthless and he showed no regard for human life, they were seasoned veterans who had encountered such people countless times throughout their lives.

This individual was one of the top three candidates in Sword Cliff's younger generation, with the potential to be selected as the next chosen one to represent the sect in the Snow Lake tournament.

Known as one of the most ruthless cultivators of the current younger generation, his mere association with James was enough to instill fear in anyone who knew of him.

Oliver the unruly!

Under the moonlight, Yone wiped the blood from his right hand onto his already tattered and dirty shirt. He then turned to the guards with an indifferent gaze.

"Someone show me the way to Elder Chester's place," Yone said, he then seemed to recall something and continued," Also if whoever behind this kid asks about the killer, feel free to tell him it's Yone, Elder Chester's direct disciple."

Gulp!

No wonder he dared to act so arrogantly in front of us and create such a bloody scene the moment he entered the sect.

'He was merely using James as an example to warn the other disciples against messing with him..'

Both guards couldn't help but look at James's lifeless body with pity in their eyes.

'He was just unfortunate enough to be the first to cross paths with Yone the moment he entered the sect.'

It looks like Elder Chester chose another Oliver as his direct disciple...

The guards shook their heads as one of them took hold of James's body and was ready to bring him in, Meanwhile, the other guard stepped in front of Yone to guide him to Elder Chester's cultivation area.

If the guards knew that Yone's real reason for killing the young man was just to take over his resources and anger the people behind him to acquire even more resources.

Both of them would think that Yone was a mad kid who overestimated his identity and was unaware that there was always a higher sky beyond what he could see.

Yone ignored the guards' reactions, took the pouch from James's wrist, and followed behind one of the guards.

He didn't dare to retrieve the armend in front of them, choosing instead to accept the minor loss and move on.

The guards observed his actions but said nothing; it was his loot, and they had no claim to it.

After Yone left with the guard, a shadow swaying with the gentle wind watched the boy who had just caused such a scene with a look of complex contemplation.

"We've finally found him after all this relentless searching!"

Under the night sky, a female voice, filled with joy and anticipation, emerged from the shadows. In the next moment, her eyes sparkled with a bright smile before she vanished into thin air.

Returning back to Yone, he had just finished registering in the sect with the guard's help at the management pavilion and now arrived at the entrance of Elder Chester's pavilion.

Elder Chester had already been informed about Yone's arrival and the incident he caused at the gate by the other guard, hence he was patiently waiting for him to arrive.

He didn't care about the disciple's death since he brought it upon himself given the guard's description of the incident, he was just eager to see Yone's cultivation improve.

Seeing the familiar figure of Chester, Yone headed towards him with unhurried footsteps and said," I will enter seclusion, can you show me the way to my room."

Hearing Yone's words, the guard finally understood that the behavior he displayed in front of them earlier was indeed the way he acted in front of everyone else and wasn't just directed toward them given their low positions.

"His name will be known by all in a few years," the guard muttered quietly as he headed toward the gate. He had completed his task of delivering Yone as instructed and had no further business here.

Not minding Yone's words, Chester showed Yone around with a smiling face, his heart beating faster each time he sensed his cultivation realm which doubled since he met him a day ago!

'It seems like my gamble will pay off this time,' Chester grew ecstatic as he thought about the benefits he would lay his hands on in the near future.

The living area of the pavilion was split into several levels, a room for the master of the pavilion, where Chester himself stayed. Rooms for the direct disciples of the master and rooms for servants who clean up the pavilion from time to time.

"This will be where you will stay from now on."

Stopping in front of one of the rooms, Chester pointed at the room in front of him.

"You can enter seclusion in this place, I'll provide resources for you till you are done training in the meantime! Ah, one last thing, I recommend that you do not make enemies with a lot of the other candidates in your same position, Oliver will not dare disrupt you since I'm here, but killing his follower is a good excuse for him to get rid of you before you grow up!"

"Don't worry about me, if you block the elders behind those candidates when the time comes- After my seclusion, a lot of them won't be my opponents," Yone said confidently.

His words weren't mere arrogance, he was someone who had lived hundreds of years and knew the consequences of entering competitions such as this one and how deep the water ran in them.

Even though those candidates would try their best to get rid of him given his young age and low cultivation base, all of that would change after a few years!

His long years of experience and system were his real backers after all, Chester was merely a temporary one!

"I like your confidence," Chester smiled as he looked at the back of Yone who entered the room.

In a certain cave hidden deeply inside a massive mountain.

A figure sat crossed-legged, floating in the darkness of the cave, only illuminated by the blinding orange light the figure radiated, and coming from the figure, an oppressive aura of power leaked out, space itself seemed to bend due to that heavy aura.

Immediately the mysterious person's eye flashed as a person he had long awaited their arrival kneeled in front of him.

There was a disturbance in the environment as the figure said in a delighted tone "Is this what I think it is? Did you finally find the heaven-blessed child? The voice that sounded like a male radiated an ancientness that didn't belong in that era, an ancientness that could only belong to individuals who had transcended the realm of mortals.

"Y-yes Master!" The woman kneeling on one knee in front of the mysterious figure said joyfully, her tone and body trembling with excitement.

"Tell me everything you know about him, Lilith!"
