Chapter 4 – Day in dungeon.

The battle ended, it could not be called a fair fight, it was one sided massacred. A lifeless bodies the invaders were laying on the ground.

As soon as puppet given that order dungeon begins to absorb all the remains enemies inside the room he was standing in, it begins to repair as well. The puppet left somethings in their place, he left he weapons that invaders used, he found them interesting. The first weapon he picked up was the broken short word, it tried to cut it self using it to try how much damage can it make, usurpingly it didn't do much even when he used mana to increase its output, he finds the sword no longer useful and sacrificed it for miasma. The next was a staff, it was quiet hard but not suitable for close range combat, it didn't understand why the lightings came out from it so it decided to store it for now. Bow that a leader was using was the last one, it tried to mimic movement that the boy was using, it has hard time understanding it and aiming with it, but after trials and errors it was finally able to use it at some extend. Puppet used skill to check the status of the bow

The bow had same amount of attack power like Moving Mannequin that were created by this dungeon.

Monster made out of the wood, it's look very similar to a mannequin used in shops, they don't have fingers so they can't hold weapons but they can use their hands like a bat. They have humanoid appearance but they don't have face nor they possess gender.

The puppet wondered how attacks from the boy with the glasses managed to damage him, he then picked up arrows that he used against him and once again used his skill.

He then started is that really it, he took all the arrows out from the quiver and noticed that around half of them were bit different.

(Look…...similar…...but…. different?) – confused puppet wondered.

He couldn't understand why they were so different; they only look a little bit different. He stopped wondering and putted both the arrows and the bow including quiver into the storage.

Dungeon core room may give illusion that is a simple room that hold a dungeon core inside of it but it's quiet different, it is special made by their owners It can act like a storage, laboratory, blacksmith and many more, the only ones that can enter that room is the dungeon master and those who he allows in, it will automatically open when dungeon master is dead.

When invaders fail to defeat the dungeon boss he will go into sleep mode, during that time he will recover at rapid rate, restoring all his missing limbs and parts as well refreshing all the abilities he possessed, during that process it's impossible to challenge him to battle for the next 2 hours. The dungeon master has similar logic with one big difference, he can't be attacked for the next 24 hours instead, however he can deactivate this protection in any time meaning he can battle two times in the row and then rest for the full 24 hour or less.

As he entered the room he could feel the dungeon core healing him, reguniveting him. In the middle of the room there was a table looked like it was carved out from stone, it wasn't elegant or anything you could call it half-assed, on top of it laid orb like jewel, it has dark purple color, it was dungeon core.

A window like object appeared in front of him, it didn't look like status window that people usually use but it had similar nature, it had displayed the fallowing.

It displayed as well a map of the floor.

Explanation.

All the miasma is stored inside dungeon core, the bigger is the core the more it can store, if the core is full it will begin to evolve making it and dungeon masters stronger.

Miasma can be generated in multiple ways: monsters living made by dungeon as well as dungeon floors will produce miasma over time, dungeon can sacrifice deceased invaders and their belongings or other sacrifices. Dungeon can also absorb miasma from "miasma vein", they can't be seen with naked eye and only dungeon master knows about their existence, it can create dungeon or feed them miasma but the distribution is smaller if there are many dungeon in the same area, the stronger dungeon is the more miasma it can receive from veins as well (this applies to other dungeon as well meaning the stronger dungeon will hinder distribution of miasma as well). Only dungeons can interact with miasma veins. The miasma generated by dungeons and other sources will produce miasma every hour.

Each floor has maximal amount of monsters it can hold, floor can hold different kind of monster at same time but there is limit how many there can be, a limit of the monster can be effect by how powerful there are, for example dungeon floor 1A can hold 25 weak monster at the same time while dungeon floor 1B can hold 10 strong monsters at the same time. Dungeon floor need at least 15 monsters to operate normally.

A map displaying entire floor in 3D way, it shows all location of the enemies and allies inside as well as they location, it can be used as well as something like security camera to watch what is happening inside.

While he was observing the dungeon using dungeon core, he noticed that some of the miasma stored had been used.

A new monster has been created to fill out the spot, this was automatic process and dungeon master cannot stop it.

Puppet monster had one more thing that got his interest, it was a sack that was filled the body parts that belonged to mannequins. Dungeon master possess installed knowledge inside of them that explain how to manage dungeon and how it works, but it didn't understand something.

(Why…. gather?) – he tough to himself, for what purpose they would use these parts for. He decided to keep them, wondering if he experiments with them a bit, he will find the reason for their action.

The puppet was only born recently, he was still learning how do things, his action was that of the child, when something got his interest, he wanted to know more about the subject. His intention was simple, to understand, why fire was coming out from torch, why the arrow was flying, why lighting came from the stick and other stuff, it was a curiosity of the child that driven the puppet action. The first thing puppet wanted to learn after gaining a mind and feelings was to learn how it was able to move, like said before it had installed allowing it operate dungeon with ease, but that wasn't it, he wanted to learn what exactly is happening, he knew he wasn't made out of flesh and blood but a parts, how these parts work, what shape were they and other question regarding him has filled his mind. He was originally made out of wood, his joints as were very weak, it was hard to move them and they could easily break, so he broke them. The fingers were short and quiet useless, they didn't have ability to properly grab stuff, so he broke them. The broken parts then were remodeled using dungeon core, a new parts were limited because of low amount of miasma that were available at the time so he was only able to change the joints and the fingers, they were now made out of the steal and thanks to puppet nature they mutated, becoming the part of their body, they not only became harder but new parts made puppet movements more comfortable. The next was puppet vitals, its head and cheats. Puppet had three cores, two located in the cheats area right under the another and the third one located in the head, both of these areas were exposed and could easily be attacked by enemies, so he decided to remodel them instead, the head have taken shape of the helmet while cheats have been covered by steal ribs. The remodeling of entire body costed tons of miasma (458 to be precisely), there is limit how much he can change since dungeon core isn't developed much. However, you could call these upgrades half assed, he only changed materials and add new stuff but the way they were made was crafted half assed.

Dungeons can't make high grade or complex weapons for example crossbows, it need to learn how to make stuff if it want to use it, to put it in more simple way: if the dungeon master or somebody who works for him managed to learn how to make stuff( learned how to produce it from the scratch, how it works and what it does), it can be absorbed not sacrificed meaning that dungeon is now able to reproduce the equipment, only equipment made by dungeon lord and his servants can be absorbed meaning that equipment stole from fallen enemies can't be absorbed. Dungeon possess ability to produce basic stuff such as swords, armors and other stuff, the stronger dungeon is the more powerful basic equipped it can produce.

Puppet had nothing to, so he waited and around 2 hours had passed.

Dungeon core notified dungeon lord about new threat that just entered it, meaning that a new battle approaches.
