"I see."

"Please mind yourselves. I'm going in," Charles said, then activated Cerebro and picked up the metal cap that came with it.

"Wait, take me in with you," Richard said as he walked closer to him.

"Take me as well," Moira said as she approached.

"I don't… Just hold on to my shoulder," Xavier said, giving up on refusing the determined two.

Moira wanted to see, to know exactly how powerful En Sabah Nur was, while Richard wanted to come along because he feared that the ancient mutant would do something. He might not be a telepath nor had he trained in the mind arts in any way, but he had his methods.

Xavier took a deep breath, and soon the entire environment changed as the once silvery walls of the room gained a blue hue with multiple red and green dots. Knowing what these things were didn't change how much of an experience this was.

"What are those?" Moira asked.

"The dots represent the minds of every living person on the planet at the moment, both the mutants and the normal humans… everyone. Please do keep it a secret from the CIA," Xavier said, glancing at her.

"The CIA would kill for this," she said.

"I know," Charles replied as the environment changed to pure red, showing the minds of every mutant in the world as Xavier zoomed in and began his search.

"Wait!" Richard called out, stopping the search.

"What is it?" Moira asked, obviously fed up.

"It's simple. The scruffy-looking guy just said that this new-old mutant is an even more powerful telepath than him. Do you really want to go search for this being without any form of protection?" Richard explained.

This was why comics were just annoying—they do things that wouldn't make sense, yet people enjoy them. Now that comic stupidity had been brought into reality, who goes to challenge someone who had already beat them down without any form of backup or power-up?

"So?" Moira questioned.

"…"

Richard sighed at their stupidity. Was she expecting Xavier to suddenly develop some stronger telepathic powers to overcome En Sabah Nur's or something? Things didn't work that way, and surprisingly, Xavier, the man who had been involved in the original fight, still wanted to continue with it.

"Just wait," Richard said, then clapped his hands together as a bright white light flooded the room.

If they were going to be stupid, then he had to at least ensure their safety. As soon as the light died down, the group could see a milky white glow appear on Richard's body. Then Richard proceeded to place his hands on Xavier's metal cap.

"Oh… Urgh!" Xavier made a disgraceful sound, but Richard didn't bother about it because he had expected such from him.

"What is that?" Moira asked.

"I enhanced his powers," Richard replied casually.

Richard had cast a spell from the list of Xavier and Cerebro. The enhancement spell was a blessing that enhanced everything that was its target, be it machine, human, demon, or so. As soon as the spell was cast, the red room suddenly expanded even further as Xavier's powers grew even stronger.

"How is this even possible?" Xavier asked, still reveling in the new increase in power.

"Just find the man we want," Richard said, reminding him of the mission.

"Right…" Charles said as the red area around them began to change rapidly.

It was clear that Xavier was happy about the new power increase as he zipped around from region to region searching for En Sabah Nur and his crew. Richard wondered if things would go as they did in the movie or if they would follow the comics.

"Any progress?" Moira asked.

"None. It's as though they vanished off the face of the Earth," Xavier said, feeling slightly frustrated.

"Can you search for a man named Michael Nowlan?"

"… why?" Charles asked, confused.

"Just do it. I can't tell you how I know, just do it," Richard said.

"Sure," Xavier said, finding no harm in following Richard's suggestion. "Characteristics?"

"He's a mutant with the ability to amplify other people's abilities… be prepared, though, the guy is a drunk f**k."

"Found h… What are you doing?!" Charles suddenly called out in shock.

"What?" Richard asked, confused by the man's reaction.
