"Do you know him?" Jack pointed to Loki on the screen and asked.
"I know him, sort of." Sylvie's face was so dark that water could drip from it. Loki's appearance had annoyed her greatly. But now wasn't the time to be angry. She stood up and said, "We should go. Time is running out."
After she spoke, she headed out.
Jack and Bucky looked at each other, and the former was very curious. Why did Sylvie's face change like that when she saw Loki?
'Could it be that there was some story between them?'
The three of them arrived at Sylvie's explosive site, and the Tempad showed only five minutes left.
"What do we do next?" Bucky looked shocked at Jack and Sylvie. He was still completely confused.
"If I explain it this way, maybe you'll be able to accept it faster," Sylvie sighed, placing a hand on Bucky's arm and sending a green light into his brain, instantly flashing a series of images before his eyes. Slowly, he understood their current situation.
"So... I'm a time criminal?" Bucky felt a headache coming on. He had become a time criminal, hunted by the Time Variance Authority, and now had to break into their headquarters.
"Pull yourself together, soldier," Jack handed him a handgun. "Either get erased for no reason or take a chance. Which will you choose?"
"Okay." Bucky sighed, realizing he had no choice. "I'll try, with you by my side, it should be okay... right?"
"Who knows," Jack shrugged. He was unsure of the Time Variance Authority's strength as well.
They could only take things one step at a time.
Suddenly, a rush of footsteps could be heard, and from the other end of the supermarket, Loki and a chubby Time Keeper came running out. They spotted Jack's group immediately and charged towards them.
"Stop!" The Time Keeper led the way, waving his short baton.
Jack glanced at Bucky and signaled him with a hand gesture. Bucky understood and charged forward with his fists swinging. Jack wanted to stop him, but it was already too late.
"Boom!!"
Bucky was fast on the attack, but his woman opponent turned out to be surprisingly skilled. Caught off guard, Bucky was kicked in the chest and flew three meters away. He slid another three meters on the ground before coming to a stop.
Sylvie looked at Jack, then down at Bucky's body on the ground, with a look of disbelief on her face.
Jack awkwardly smiled, "I wanted to remind him..."
At this moment, Minuteman had already closed in, and the end of her short stick, which was glowing with an orange-yellow light, was aimed straight at his chest.
Jack moved fast, grabbing the end of the stick and knocking her unconscious with a swift chop to her neck while the Minuteman looked shocked.
"Wow, you did what I wanted to do, thank you." At this point, Loki slowly walked over, looking at the unconscious Minuteman on the ground with a relieved expression on his face.
He looked at Jack and introduced himself, "Let me introduce myself... Wait, how can you be okay?!"
"How? Just this?" Jack raised his hand and gestured casually at the stick he was holding, "This thing is useless to me."
"This is impossible!!" It wasn't until Jack raised his hand that Sylvie noticed the scene, her expression even more shocking than Loki's.
This thing may not look like much, but it is the most lethal weapon of the Time Variance Authority. It can not only erase a person from the timeline, but also accelerate, decelerate, or even stop the time flow of a certain object upon direct contact.
And it is exactly the device that Jack is holding in his hand now. Even ordinary people can't touch it, let alone hold it. Even the Minuteman handle it with care because they can be affected too.
"I don't know why, but it's true." Jack shrugged, also very helpless, because he really didn't know how this happened.
"I might have a clue."
Loki suddenly raised his hand and said, "I've been at the TVA, there should be answers there. Perhaps we can ask the Time Keepers. I would also like to talk to them face to face if possible."
"Good idea!" Sylvie calmed down and looked at Loki disdainfully. "It seems like you're not completely useless after all."
Jack also agreed. Perhaps only the Time Keepers knew what was happening. Loki's face changed slightly, looking displeased at Sylvie, but he didn't say anything.
"Ding!"
A crisp sound caught everyone's attention, and they looked toward the source of the sound. The Tempad linked to the strange device by Sylvie displayed.
Activate!
An electric sound came from the strange device, and huge electricity instantly paralyzed the supermarket's lighting system. The lights all went out instantly, leaving only the emergency lights still on.
Then, within two seconds, several dozen Reset Charges placed on the surrounding shelves were activated. Just as they were about to explode, a miniature time portal opened under each Reset Charge, and the Reset Charge fell straight into them.
As for which timeline they fell into, it was entirely up to fate.
"This is getting interesting," Sylvie said.
Loki immediately realized what had happened and looked at Sylvie in horror. Ignoring him, Sylvie picked up the Tempad, opened a time portal, and walked in. Jack shrugged, picked up the confused Bucky from the ground, and followed her.
After hesitating for a moment, Loki decided to follow them. As they left, the rest of the Time Variance Authority arrived late.
Meanwhile, as Jack had predicted, the TVA was completely chaotic. Dozens of timelines were reset, creating countless branches in time. The Sacred Timeline was split, something that had never happened before in the history of the TVA.
The Minuteman summoned all their forces to maintain balance across the timelines. They had to act quickly because if the Sacred Timeline was completely out of control, the consequences would be disastrous.
In the middle of the chaos, Jack and his companions stepped into the chaos.
