"What?" Jean questioned but Kai shrugged at her, "I guess, she is trying to control whatever ability she absorbed from the wheelchair but she can't control it completely yet."

"So she couldn't compete with your ability, but now that I've cut off your connection to your body, even you should feel Rogue knocking away at my mind's door."

Jean stayed quiet trying to feel what Kai was talking about and she did, she could hear Rogue trying to make contact with him but why...

"I don't know either... I had made all these elaborate plans and she is willingly helping me. So who am I to complain..." As if he could read her mind, Kai answered accordingly to what she was thinking, "I can read your face even if I can't read your mind..."

Shaking his head, Kai relayed a message to Rogue, "Hold down, the woman with the white hair for me will you!"

Knowing that Rogue had heard him, he turned back towards Jean,

"What the hell are you planning..." Jean grunted knowing Storm was in danger but she couldn't do anything at the moment but struggle.

"Nothing elaborate..." Kai replied, "I could just let you go now that your powers won't typically affect me any longer but I still hate the fact that you went all 'Dora' on my mind."

"So let's cut a little deal, a binding vow in my language but you could call it whatever you want." Kai continued, "I won't ever personally cause any harm towards Storm, Xavier, and your little boyfriend Scott but in return, every single ounce of your being whether it be your soul or even a fragment of your cell won't ever harm me in return."

"Sounds good enough right?" Kai asked as he watched Jean struggle to process his words, "Don't think too long about it, after all, even if Storm is strong enough with the help of Rogue I can very well kill her or cause a deep enough wound to permanently injure her. As for the already weakened professor and your little boyfriend, you very well know what I can do."

"Am I supposed to rest easy relying on your promise?" Jean asked,

"A minute ago you were trying to save me but now you look at me as if I am a monster, you people do love making things complicated huh." Kai shook his head with disappointment, "It's just not a promise, it's a vow I can make using my powers. If I go against it, even I'll perish, and if you go against yours, the same thing will happen to you. Besides, do you really want to harm me that bad, that you can't resist attacking me?"

Jean stayed quiet for a minute, recalling the once cheerful Kai she saw in his memories. She came to the conclusion that he was likely telling the truth as there was no reason to make things so complicated.

The current him could definitely kill her friends outside but in return, all she had to do was never harm him, even if he caused any further troubles in the future as long as the others left safely, they could eventually stop him even without her.

And if this was all a lie, then things would play out as they normally would.

"Fine! I agree to your terms..." Jean said as she watched Kai smile gleefully swiping his fingers at her.

In a moment, her head fell to the ground and she woke up in her body screaming in pain from her mind being literally decapitated as the effect followed her physically. She clutched her head, feeling disoriented and vulnerable unable to make sense of anything else.

------------------------------------

The metal ball continued to creak as Magneto immediately tried to strengthen his hold over the ball with what remaining powers he could muster at the moment as he increased the pressure making the ball smaller and smaller by the second to make sure nothing escaped out of it.

Xavier watched the scene unfold unsure of what he could do at the moment, with his weakened state he could do nothing but convince Rogue at the moment, while Scott aka Cyclops readied himself to use his power against Kai if so required.

Wolverine who had just awakened from his unconsciousness, drowsily rushed over towards Rogue getting her away from Storm without making any serious contact.

*Boom*

A loud noise shook the surroundings as the inevitable finally took place, the metal ball literally tore into pieces as from within a figure emerged.

The figure was unlike Kai as not only was it much bigger but completely armored from head to toe.

----------------------------------

After sending Jean away from his mental domain, he lazily shook his head.

"So I guess, binding vows work with anyone human enough to create cursed energy."

"I believe your assumption is correct, the binding vow begun taking it's effect immediately after the contract was agreed upon." The system said, "Once again, I am not certain on it's effect but it should work as intended."

Kai nodded, "That should do... I guess, it's time for me to get out now."

The vengeful cursed spirit of his brother surrounded him, completely attaching itself to Kai.

"Protect... Kai..." The spirit voiced out as Kai shook his head, "Even now... Sigh! I am not sure what else can you do Leo... so shall we try it out?"

He could feel the armor shaking in joy as he nodded creating a hand sign, "Cleave!"

----------------------

"What the hell is that..." Scott couldn't help but say out loud while watching as the black figure emerged from within the shattered remains of the metal ball. It stood there, towering over the scene with an ominous presence. The armor enveloping Kai was a marvel to behold — a fusion of ancient samurai aesthetics with futuristic technology.

The armor was jet-black, sleek, and yet intricately detailed with patterns that seemed to pulse with a faint, eerie glow. Across its surface, runes and symbols etched themselves in shifting patterns, hinting at its otherworldly origin. Each piece of the armor, from the helmet down to the boots, was adorned with spikes and angular edges that exuded a sense of menace and power.

As the figure stepped forward, the ground beneath it trembled slightly, emphasizing its weight and strength. It moved with a fluidity that belied its imposing size, suggesting a perfect harmony between the vengeful spirit of Leo and Kai's own formidable presence.

Magneto, despite his usual composure, felt a twinge of unease at the sight. The armor seemed impervious to his magnetic manipulation, suggesting a composition far beyond mere metal. Xavier, sensing the shift in the situation, focused his telepathic abilities to assess the new threat only to find this armor somehow resisted his telepathic abilities to a greater degree than even Magneto's helmet, while Cyclops adjusted his visor, readying himself for potential combat.

Wolverine watched over in awe as he couldn't fathom what Kai had done but he knew he must be stopped before his allowed to cause any further destruction when he suddenly felt an entity rush by him.
