Marvel's Mutant Gamer (Being rewritten)

(Being rewritten)Our lovely MC becomes The Gamer of Marvel. Nuff said. The timeline will be a mixture of the comics and the MCU. Be warned, it will be weird, and probably not accurate.

Treetment

After school, I didn't go straight home, but I visited the local library. Finding if Skill Books existed was important.

I wasn't disappointed. Skill Books existed!

There were a lot of them in the library. The hard part was getting them out of there without being seen. Not!

It was extraordinarily simple for me. I just had to make sure there is no one around me and no cameras watching me. Then I just touched and stored it in my Inventory. Ta-da!

Karate Skill Book. Get. Taekwondo Skill Book. Get. Jiu-Jitsu Skill Book. Get. Krav Maga Skill Book. Get...

This is as easy as stealing candy from a baby.

I was really hoping to find a Magic Skill Book, but if they even existed, why would they be in the library of all places.

Not that I was disappointed by my find or anything. I had over 20 books on Martial Arts stored in my Inventory. As I was leaving the place, I saw one more.

Cooking Skill Book. Get.

My quest to create the best pizza was 33% complete. Now I just need to raise the skill before finding a way to present my masterpiece to Jean. Hmm. The last part seems to be the hardest, but I will find a way!

I returned home with a skip in my steps. How could I not be happy when I have so many Skill Books in my Inventory. The best part was that they cost me nothing.

I locked myself into my room and picked a Skill Book after Skill Book. A window popped up every time, asking me if I wanted to learn the skill or not. Like seriously, why was that even a question. Of course, I wanted to learn it.

Each Skill Book lit up before it dissolved into light that flew into me, with the knowledge of the book imprinted into my brain.

After I consumed all Skill Books about martial arts, they combined into one.

[Martial Arts (Passive) Lvl. 1/100: Passively increase skill in martial arts, physical damage, and attack speed by 2%. Passively increases Strength, Vitality, and Dexterity by 2%.]

That's incredible! If I max out this skill and Physical Endurance, will I be able to fight with the Hulk?

Nope, nope, nope. Stop thinking about that before it happens, and I end up in a fight with the green monstrosity. Please, God, don't tell me I jinxed myself. Please!

Just stop thinking about it! Focus on what's important, like the Cooking Skill Book. I quickly grabbed that one and consumed it.

All the Skill Books were finished. Now, what?

I could try to create a Magic Skill, but I don't really have a safe place to do that. Like, what if I fire a spell by mistake and someone sees me. That won't end up in my favor.

Ugh! Whatever, I will try to increase my stats again.

I put on some gym clothes and exited my room before I returned back. Forgot the headphones.

Now, this is much better.

Like yesterday, I ran for an hour and a half, but this time, I didn't return home. I stopped at a nearby park.

I found a place where there was no one and walked up to a tree.

"Hello there. Nothing personal, but you are the only one I could train my skills on. I apologize in advance for the treement."

I let out a laugh at my stupid pun and started punching and kicking the tree.

However, the tree turned out to be a formidable foe. Every punch and kick reduced my HP by 1!

"I don't apologize anymore, fuck you tree!"

My punches and kicks intensified, but the tree fought back. In the end, the fight was a tie. I returned home and promised to come back tomorrow for a rematch. The outcome of our fight will be different, tree, mark my words!

At least my stats and skills increased. Physical Endurance and Martial Arts both got a level, and I gained 2 Dexterity and 2 Vitality.

I returned home and did my physical workout, gaining 2 Strength for my efforts.

My XP bar had also increased, and I was almost level 2! Can't wait for that since I will complete the quest and gain two new skill. I wonder what they did, but I will find out soon enough.

Tomorrow, to be exact. I will complete two of my homework quests, which should make me level 2 and complete my other quest. Quite efficient if I do say so myself.

Before I went to bed, I decided to at least try to use my mana in some way. I wanted to do Magic! I mean, it's Magic! Who doesn't like that?

I sat on my bed and raised my hand with the palm upward. All I wanted to do was to summon my mana in some way.

I don't know if I have a Magic Core or whatever, but I knew for sure that I have mana.

So, I clenched my teeth and butt cheeks, trying to summon mana in my hand. I felt something, and... I farted. God damn it! This was not supposed to happen!

I continued trying, but no matter what I did, I couldn't use mana. I guess I will have to get a Magic Book, but I had no idea where to find one if they even existed.

There was one more thing I wanted to try, and that was meditation. I should've tried finding a Skill Book in the library, but that had skipped my mind.

Thankfully, one of my best friends, Google, was there to help me out. A quick search later, I knew the basics of meditation.

I sat on my bed and crossed my legs. I emptied my mind and began breathing with my belly. A few minutes later, I heard my favorite sound.

*Ding*

[New Skill had been created, Meditation]

[Meditation(Passive/Active) Lvl. 1/100: Passively increases MP regen by 2%. Passively increases Intelligence and Wisdom by 2%. When activated, HP, MP, and stamina regenerate 10% faster.]

Hell, yeah! I got skills that boost my physical and mental stats. That's perfect, now I just need to level them up.

I've read in some stories about how people can replace their sleep with meditation. Well, it's time to find out if I can do that as well.

The next morning, I woke up and looked around. I must've fallen asleep during my attempts to meditate. However, I was rewarded for my efforts.

[Meditation(Passive/Active) Lvl. 4/100: Passively increases MP regen by 8%. Passively increases Intelligence and Wisdom by 8%. When activated, the user has to stay perfectly still, and his HP, MP, and stamina regenerates 40% faster.]

On my way to school, I kept spamming Observe. That was such a useful skill. When I used it on people, it gave me a brief description of their history.

With Kurt, for example, Observe told me he was born in Germany. Anyone could tell you that since he had a German accent. However, it also told me that he was born with a physical mutation. That I didn't know, and no matter how I looked at him, I couldn't see it.

When I Observed mutants from the Brotherhood, it told me that they were being led by Mystique. Ooohhh, how mysterious.

Either way, today was important, and I couldn't wait to hand in my homework. That was something I would've never imagined looking forward to.

After completing two quests, my XP filled up, and I leveled up, which also completed another quest.

Easy game, easy life.

I got 5 stat points to freely allocate, but I will save them up for now. I was still able to raise my stats just by putting in some work. Maybe when they become harder to raise, I will then allocate them. Or when I really need a boost.

Besides that, I got two new skills from completing the Level Up quest.

[Create ID(Active) Lvl. 1/100: Creates an Instant Dungeon in the Mirror Dimension. Current available Dungeons: Empty]

Oh. My. God. This is bullshit. I got my own personal training ground! And if I'm correct, when leveled up, I will be able to make Dungeons with monsters! This is amazing!

[Escape ID(Active) Lvl. 1/100: Used to escape from Instant Dungeons and the Mirror Dimension.]

And I got a way to escape from the Dungeon, but what is this Mirror Dimension I wonder. Something to find out in the future.

I couldn't resist using Create ID, but I stopped myself. I can wait for a bit. No need to make myself known now.

During lunch, I was sharing a meal with Kurt, but there was another person with us, Jean, and she kept staring at me.

Now, normally, I would be happy, but she didn't have a lovestruck expression. No, she was suspiciously staring at me.

For some reason, I think Jean found out I was a mutant, but I had no idea how. I hadn't done anything extraordinary. Except me acting like a dumbass in her presence, but that doesn't count!

I seriously have no idea how she found out, but she hadn't asked me, so there is still a chance she doesn't know.

"Kurt, can I talk with you for a second?" Jean asked and stood up.

"Sure." Kurt followed after her.

A moment later, they returned, and Kurt was also looking at me suspiciously.

I'm really confused. How? I haven't done anything to warrant that suspicion! I haven't started my computer in the last two days, but that shouldn't be a reason!

"Why do you keep looking at me? Is there something on my face?" I asked them.

"Have you... been feeling different as of late, Will?" Kurt asked me.

Come on, Lying skill I need your help!

"No, not really," I responded as calmly as I could. I didn't want to be telling people I'm a mutant when I was still a weakling.

*Ding*

[Lying has increased to 6.]

Thank you! I love you!

Both nodded to my response. Whoosh, crisis averted. Or maybe not, Kurt and Jean were still looking at me suspiciously.

God damn it, Grey. Just because you are the princess of the school, doesn't give you the right to turn my friend against me! I'm starting to rethink if I should show you the true way of life, pizza!

Classes continued, and I had to deal with suspicious looks from Kurt. Not cool. I don't look at you suspiciously for hiding the fact that you are a mutant, so why do you do this to me?

Anyway, school ended, and I left without even saying goodbye. Ha, take that!

I know it wasn't the smartest idea, but if you are going to look at me suspiciously, I will just ignore you.

When I returned home, I ate a tasty meal made by grandma, and before I left for my run, I told her.

"Grandma, don't cook tomorrow. You always make the tastiest meals for me, but I want to start making them for you."

"Oh, Will, you are just the best, but are you sure about that?" Grandma was touched by my offer.

"Yes, don't worry about it. And, grandma, there is no one better than me!"

*Ding*

[Lying has increased to 7]

Hey! Gamer ability, you and I are going to have a very serious talk!

I took my usual route on my run, and an hour and a half later, I was back in front of my opponent from yesterday. I got only a single point of Dexterity for my effort, but it was better than nothing.

"It's time for payback!" I said before sending a flurry of kicks and punches at the tree.
