Chapter 7 ah yes, the consequences of my actions

Making it only about half way to the mansion I was interrupted in my walk by the professor and storm "young Alex what happened" Xavier asked worriedly.

"I was trying out my vinteokinesis and Mr Logan was being condescending and I may have gone too far in showing off to prove him wrong" I say actually feeling guilty for making so much trouble 'I think being a devil was messing with my emotions making me more prideful and vindictive but that makes sense all the devils in DMC are prideful and petty' 

they both looked flabbergasted before the professor's face morphed into an annoyed expression "young man just because you feel slighted doesn't mean you can lash out at the things around you" now I feel worse because professor X is always described as patient.

"I know professor but I didn't know that my powers would affect my personality or emotions" his face didn't change but his eyes softened slightly.

"be that as it may you can't blame you powers completely and must own up to your actions" deciding that there was no point of arguing as he was right I just kept my mouth shut. Following along as the professor walked back over to the crowd of teachers and students, he spoke up "alright everyone that is enough it was just a power misfire nothing interesting"

a couple of the students looked at the professor like he was an idiot before one spoke up "um professor I don't think the destruction of an entire mountain is a normal power misfire" looking at the student in question the professor smiled kindly "while yes it is a lot of damage I can confidently tell you that it is handled" all the students calmed and I couldn't tell if he's just that good or pulled a Jedi mind trick just now.

Walking after the professor as he was wheeled up to his office I didn't say anything until we were there. "I really am sorry professor I didn't know the power would affect me so much" he looked at me calmly. "Yes you did say that before and I understand that but that doesn't change the fact that you did it" 

looking down I quietly said "I didn't even get to use any other powers yet" the professors face became stern "and you won't until you are properly settled in and have at least made an effort to make up for your blunder" alright that was a little to far but I did ask for this so nothing I can do 

after a full dressing down by the professor, Dr McCoy and Logan I was told to return to my room. As I was making my way back there I was intercepted by Kitty. "yo Alex wait up" turning back to them "hey guys what's up" 

"Was it you who did that to the mountain" she asked. "Yeah I didn't mean to my power went out of control" I decided to make it seem like a complete accident instead of my own fuckup.

"woah how'd you do it" she asked with stars in her eyes which I was confused about how she did that but decided to ignore it. "Well I was using a power that gave me a magic sword and just kinda slashed it, I didn't mean for it to destroy anything" I was lying I meant to do it but I was being affected by devil pride.

the wonder didn't leave from her in fact it looked to have increased "you mean you destroyed a mountain with a sword from that far away. That's so cool" after squealing about that for a bit she suddenly asked "are all you powers weapon related or is summoning magic weapons one of you powers" I mean she isn't wrong I can summon a lot of weapons with video.

"While technically wrong I can summon a lot of weapons but they are all so powerful that at the moment I think they would all tire me out in just one use" she looked even more excited if that was even possible "what other weapons do you have" she asked and it took me a second to go though the mental library of weapons that I got from DMC "well there are 8 swords, 3 pairs of gauntlets and grieves and a bunch of other random things like a briefcase that can turn into 666 different forms made for combat"

after listing some of the weapons from DMC I looked at her face and it was completely blank "um are you ok Kitty" she mechanically turned back to me and asked "and this is just one power" I was confused "no this is one part of one power there are a bunch of other abilities und this one power" she looked even more blank "oh that's nice… I'm gonna go lie down somewhere and rethink my beliefs for awhile see you later Alex" 

figuring that she was probably fine I just started going back to my room as I was getting dark now and I wanted to go to sleep as I was still exhausted from using the Yamato like I did.

TIME SKIP TO THE NEXT MORNING

waking up the next day was weird. I had already accepted that this was my new reality but still felt out of place like I wasn't meant to be here. Shrugging that thought of with the good ol 'it is what it is''. I made my way to the cafeteria to have breakfast, arriving at the hall I was surprised to see that almost no one was here yet.

glancing at the clock on the wall I saw it was only 6:30 in the morning. I wasn't used to waking up this early and I kinda surprised I actually managed to do it.

getting my food and sitting down I finished to not long after, I put up my dishes and made my way to the first class of the day.
