The two ran into the parking lot. It was a multiple-story parking lot and they went to the top floor hoping there would be fewer people there and to their luck, there were none. Only a few cars were parked there. They stopped and started to prepare themselves for a fight.
"Tell me Mi-sun, how strong are you?"
Nolamine asked as he put his bag down. Mi-sun was going through hers, looking for something. They had parked light.
"What is that game you are currently playing right now?"
She asked to the confusion of Nolamine.
"Ass Slapper?"
"Huh?"
The name was a jolt of a surprise, to say the least.
"It is called Ass Slapper."
"What in the holly.... what kind of game is called Ass Slapper?"
She asked as she stopped what she was doing and the realization hit in.
"NOLAMINE!!! Are you playing PORN GAMES!!"
She yelled out and looked around her and in her bag. She was looking for her heels to beat the Ass Slapper out of him. Even in this situation, the two were comical.
"No! It is just the name of the game. It just implies that it slaps a...."
He stopped himself. His teenage mind came out of the gutter and finally understood how what he was about to say would sound to an adult.
"It is just an RPG game, it is not what you think."
He finally said. Mi-sun stood up. She was wearing smart casual clothes this time, but still looking sexy with a long blazer to complete her look. Nolamine was glad to see her wearing flat shoes at the time, thinking that at least she could fight unimpeded if she needed to.
She took off her blazer and stood on guard. She was wearing a ring on both of her hands. She would always have them on together with a bracelet in her left hand. She was now holding lipstick and her attitude had changed.
"I'm sure it is a 100 level game. If an average human is 1 and an Olympic athlete is 5, then I am a 10. When using my spells, I range from around 15 to 20."
She said. Comparing it to a game was way easier for Nolamine to understand and he was more than impressed.
"And how strong do you think I am?"
"Around 7 to 10. After all the bullies you took down, we have noticed that you seem to get stronger as you get angrier or the fight lasts longer. When you were young, you were easily above 15, maybe could reach 20."
It was a surprise. He was as strong as she was when he was just a kid. He wondered what happened and if sealing his memories had something to do about it.
"Awe, you seem to be quite talkative for someone who is being hunted down."
A man said as he made his way up the steps, walking slowly like it was a hustle. They could not see him yet.
"Oh, mother, I see your strength, help me seek the truth so I can once again see the light, Exathelethiam... Tobi, Bito, Maguire, release."
She cast an incantation. It was different than the one she cast so to take the envelope out of the wall.
As soon as she cast it, the rings turned into kunai knives, one having a red handle and the other a blue one with the rest of the blades black. She tossed them over to Nolamine who caught them without any problem. He could not bask in amazement yet. He was looking at her holding a katana. The lipstick had turned into one.
'These must be Tobi and Bito.'
He thought while holding the kunai properly.
'And that must be Maguire?"
He thought, impressed.
'Wait, who in their right minds names a katana Maguire.... wasn't that the name of her first boyfriend?'
He thought, but he put her naming sense aside and looked at the weapons. They too had lines on them, with them almost glittering in his eyes, but they were lackluster compared to Pulchra's sword. He could tell right away that they were a far cry from hers.
"Awe, why struggle when you are going to die anyway?"
The man said, now in full view of them. He was scrawny looking with his face resembling that of a snake's if you looked at him closer. It, having piercings all over.
"The Ansu."
She said, making the man smile.
"Yes, I'm Elon, from the Ansu. Your bounty from the Underground has risen to a Basilisks scale. I am here to collect."
The man said.
"Too bad because I will be the one to collect your head. You bastards of the Ansu are to be eradicated on sight. I thank you for coming to me and serving yourself on a platter."
She said in a stern tone, one that Nolamine had never seen before.
"I guess it is like you to be hot-blooded. Before we get into business, I have one thing I want to know. I have been tailing you ever since you came back, but when I reached that neighborhood, my blood started to boil and when I saw that apartment building I almost died from suffocation from the immense mark that was there. Home Wrecker, what the hell are you cooking up in that place?"
The man said, shivering a little at the end of his monologue.
"Like I would tell you."
She said.
'Her power is more potent to malevolent beings and those who follow them. I guess after seeing the energy left behind from her lightning strike, he could not bear to be around and waited for me at the bus stop knowing I would use the bus again. Seems like I have gone incompetent and have put Nolamine in danger.'
She thought as she looked at him, only to see him looking at her too.
"Home Wrecker?"
He asked out loud. The man smiled.
"Awe, you do not know? They say she finds guys in top-notch hotels around the world and always gets hooked on one, but they would always be married, with them just wanting to use her. Well, you do not wanna know what a scorned woman is capable of doing, kid."
Nolamine gulped.
"Awe, you scrawny-looking turd, you dead!"
She said with her face looking devilish and the katana ready to cut him in half.
Nolamine wanted to laugh at her retort, but couldn't.
"Well, well, let's see about that."
The man said as two beasts appeared next to him.
One looked something kin to a goblin but brown with patches of hair on its body. It was carrying a long scythe made from a beast's claw and bones. It was dripping a green substance that could only be poison. He had to admit that seeing it in person, its smile look perverted. The other was... well Nolamine only looked at it once and...
"Where the hell are you going?"
Mi-sun said as she grabbed the back of his collar as he tried to run.
"Nop, that thing should never exist. This is why I hate parking lots. And Mi-sun, he is after you. Just let me sit this one out."
He said, hoping to see only her in action and learn something.
"If you can't handle those two then why would we bother even trying to find your father?"
She said, the words taking the lax attitude out of him and bringing him back to reality. He stopped his actions and faced the two, his mindset changed. He had forgotten that this was not a game. That this man was there to kill Mi-sun and him since he was there with her.
He looked at the other beast. Like a grown python, it stood there flicking its tongue out but with half of its body upward. It was about six meters long and that was not the least of the things that made him want to sit the fight out.
Unlike a regular snake, it was not slithering about, but walking using human hands, walking similarly to how a centipede would walk like. It was enough to creep anyone out. To make things worse, the top part of it was made of four scythes on both sides of its body. They too dripping poison.
'What is up with these beasts and human parts?'
He thought.
"You take the two familiars. Unlike the Canabris you fought, they should be simple enough to kill. A Cabol and a Sepcapto, they only have strength going for them and nothing else."
She said as she pointed at the two beasts. Cabol being the goblin-like beast and Sepcapto the unsightly snake. The man looked at Nolamine, thinking he heard wrong.
'Who is this kid? A Canabris?'
He asked himself.
'Awe well, he is dead anyways.'
He thought as he went on the attack, his hands turning claw-like with the nails also dripping poison. He took a long breath and then exhaled, green smoke instantly covering the whole place.
"Oh, mother, full of grace, grant thee your strength and protection, for I am the seeker of truth, your sword, your worrier, Bellator Spiritus."
Mi-sun cast an incantation and swung her katana once she finished. The power behind it created a wind that pushed back against the green smoke and dispelled it, with her katana meeting his claw thereafter.
Nolamine had jumped back, on guard for any attack as he tried to avoid the smoke. The two beasts had vanished in it.
When Mi-sun had cleared the smoke with her attack, each one had leaped at him on either side with poisonous scythes coming down on his head.
