Aapep - Chaos Incarnate and Guardian of the house of Guzzler. Part 2

Nolamine watched on as the Grand Witch, who was now next to them and had stopped her bleeding put her staff on Nala's chest. Green energy transferred from it to her without her saying anything. Nala's veins turned green as the energy seeped through her body and she let out a breath like she had finally grasped relief.

The Grand Witch stood up and looked at Nolamine and using her staff, she pointed at the dark water that seemed to lead to the abyss.

"He has been waiting for you. It is time for your journey to start."

She said, implying him to jump into the water.

Nolamine looked at her staff and then the dark water which he thought was from hell. He looked at the staff again and then the water. There was no way in hell he wanted to jump into that water, but his body remembered the beating he got from the staff and while his mind protested, his body walked to the edge of the sloping rocks. It did not want to stay where an ass whooping could magically fall out of the sky again.

He looked at Nala, who looked to be resting peacefully at that time. He then looked at Mi-sun and hoped the same whooping he got would rain on her while he was in the water. He made the mistake of looking at the Grand Witch again and his body reflexively jumped into the water.

"What?"

He said out loud. The water was warm and felt good to his skin. He had felt it for a moment when it was being poured on him before, but now he could feel its welcoming feeling.

He had tried many sports at school and had found out that he was a good swimmer. For some reason, he felt at home in the dark mysterious water and this made him comfortable.

He swam to the middle of the pool and nothing happened. The two watched on as he smiled while doing backstrokes like he was on vacation.

"He is the first one to swim so freely in those waters. The villagers would disappear and never be seen again if they went in while some got blisters and died. Even his mother was always uncomfortable when going to talk to the Guardian."

The Grand Witch said as the skin moved into her now empty eye socket and closed it. Mi-sun's eyes suddenly went wide.

She had seen Nolamine suddenly going into the water like he had been pulled underneath by something.

Nolamine was surprised. He went into the dark abyss as the light instantly was blocked out. He felt himself being pulled down and did not know what was going to happen.

What was amazing was that he could breathe under the water, but what scared him was the complete darkness he was in.

He lost track of time as he gave himself to it. After an amount of time he could not comprehend, he saw a light on the bottom that shined so pure that he was drawn to it. As he continued to sink, a cave became visible in the distance and it was enormous.

The entrance was so large that you could fit a two-story mansion in it. He reached the bed of the pool and there the light illuminated meters around him and he saw where the light was coming from.

It was a small tree that was growing from the ground. It looked to be around 30 centimeters long and was made of pure light. At the end of its brunch, a fruit seemed to be growing there with it also being made of pure light.

He looked around and was shocked to see some human bones and skulls. After gathering himself, he looked at the cave and noticed that the light was not reaching there.

He knew there was something there and to his dismay, his body did not listen to him and walked over to the entrance. He stopped immediately after some steps.

Two red eyes that seemed to be miles apart slowly opened and they looked like something he was expecting but still did not expect. They looked like snake's eyes and ones that looked terrifying as a red hue left them continually.

"Nolamine Guzzler."

A voice sounded in his head. He was so surprised that he looked around for no reason when he knew where it was coming from. It was manly and lively but seemed wise. It was nothing like what he expected something as old as whatever the Guardian was to sound like.

"Ye... ye.. ye, yes!"

He spoke and no sound came out of his mouth.

"Nolamine Guzzler, son of Acheron Guzzler- The Devourer...

'Huh?'

Nolamine stopped his actions when he heard his father's name for the first time.

"And Levian Guzzler- The Impenetrable Mirror."

There were many things to take from just the Guardian's first words. He did not miss the fact that, unlike Mi-sun, he called his mother's surname 'Guzzler' and not Olethea.

There were many questions he had about their tags and what they all meant.

"It seems like I was fated to meet you, and not your father."

He said as his eyes slowly blinked.

"I am Aapep - Chaos Incarnate and Guardian of the house of Guzzler."

He said, now looking at him.

"Freaking cool name!!!"

Nolamine thought loudly in his head, not knowing that Aapep could hear him.

"We are linked by the blood that runs through your veins, speak with your mind and not your body. This means I can hear your thoughts."

"Nice... nice to meet you."

"No, the pleasure is all mine. Now that you are here, I can fulfill my duty. First, you are still not powerful enough for a long conversation, so we have little time to talk or you will suffer irreversible damage."

Aapep said and Nolamine nodded. His mind was feeling stressed and his body had started to itch.

"Firstly, we need to talk about your bloodline, which also means addressing your eyes, then about why I am here, thereafter about making your wand which was meant for your father, and then about what they left you. After all this, we need to talk about how you will get where they come from."

It seemed that they had a lot to discuss and a short amount of time to do so. Even though Nolamine wanted to stop him when he had the word 'wand', he stopped himself.

" For all intents and purposes, you are a noble."

The words shocked his mind. He thought they were going to start with something less shocking, but it seemed Aapep liked to drop bombshells now and then.

After the initial shock, Nolamine thought about what Pulchra had mumbled to herself when she noticed his eyes. She had said the word 'noble' at some point.

"Noble?"

He asked. This time he could not help but ask, as he could not brush over what he said.

"Long ago, in Panthalassa."

'Huh? Panthalassa? Isn't that the sea long ago?'

Nolamine asked himself, not wanting to disturb Aapep's story.

"There were 100 mages who tried to open the door to other worlds. They had been looking for resources as many predicted that with the amount of the gifted projected to be initiated in the coming years, they would soon run out of resources at some point."

Nolamine was intrigued.

"They managed to open a gate that led to other worlds but the power on the other side of the door was more powerful than they thought, for it was the universe itself. Loads of information flawed out of the door before it shut itself as it deemed them unworthy and weak at the time."

Nolamine nodded his head and was impressed by their intellect.

"Many died as a result of too much information getting into their brains at one go. Only 23 survived and as a result of the power opening their eyes, their eyes themselves become their source of power, not needing to use mana to develop the power they gained but only mental strength."

"WOW."

Nolamine could not help but comment.

"Two of them were your ancestors. One was from your mother's side and the other from your father's side."

Nolamine's nose went up a little as he felt pride engulf him.

"They used what knowledge they gained to further magic and as a result, everyone benefited. They were able to combine multiple ingredients in order to produce an ingredient one would need to further their power, meaning that they had solved what they had wanted to solve when the incident happened. Because of all their great contribution to the world, they were given tittles and called nobles as they gained the power to rule that world. But, there was a catch."

"I knew it!"

"Mmm..."

Aapep was amused that he had gotten used to standing in front of him.

"They could not use mana. They could only use the power of their eyes only."

That was a big drawback and Nolamine enthusiasm swam away.

"With the knowledge they had shared quickly making those around them more powerful than they were, many lost their positions and not long after that, they were branded weak but still had their titles as nobles."

Nolamine just listened now and was not amused as the story affected him.

"There were exceptions though, out of all those who survived, 8 of them had power that knew no bounds and thus they still held some form of power. Two of these were your parents. Marriage between nobles was and is forbidden as many say it would lower one's power and a pure bloodline would be gone forever as only the firstborn child of nobles are born with their bloodlines' eyes and with those born with the eyes only being the ones capable of passing them on. You are the first to be born of both parents being nobles."

Nolamine was proud of that and no one would tell him otherwise. Even though he had just heard what he was, he would not let others put him down.

"Your mother's eyes are called Impenetrable Mirror and your father's is called Devourer."

A smile could be seen on Nolamine's lips when he heard that. He was guessing what they could do.
