I gazed silently at the crashing waves on the beach. The sun's rays no longer stung my skin, so I sat down and enjoyed the cool breeze.
Letting out a sigh, I couldn't help but wonder why Dad had agreed to keep me away from the city. And to make matters worse, Theo was still here with us! Having bodyguards didn't bother me at all. I mean, compared to this place, it was nothing! We were so far away from Sta. Barbara, on this secluded island with just one big house.
A frown formed on my face as I spoke up, "How dare you bring me to this island and then abandon me!" I pushed, my frustration evident.
I stomped my foot in the sand, feeling the anger rise within me. Earlier, when I was certain I could still breathe, Theo had assured me that someone would take care of me. Then he hopped back on the yacht that had brought us here and left!
