For the next few days Helel had to stay hidden in the underground house to learn, he had to control his new found abilities in order not to get caught by the villagers.
"Your highness, I really saw her....I am sure it was her. She walked with an old lady!" A man exclaimed with more certainty, he was so sure of what he was saying. Helena had a sour expression, she cupped her abdomen and took in a deep breath, certain that she was a bit relaxed, she looked at her informant. " Uh... I- I wasn't expecting this news" she said and sat down on her lazy chair with great difficulty. Her breathing labourated and cold sweats had formed on her forehead, she grubbed the Hem of her dress out of anxiousness and her hands shivered.
"Your highness, is everything alright.....shall I call the midwife-" the man tried to help but Helena shut him up. " No! No....am fine, just...why is this happening now!!" She burst out finally. " She was supposed to be dead, why is she alive??? She asked shaking continuesly, and she suppressed her painful scream that wanted to escape from her mouth. " Your highness, you sent for me" another man entered the room and bowed his head, " yes,yes.....Mr. Cole you can leave us now!" Esther managed to dismiss her informant who was dressed shabby like. Helena extended her hands to the other man and he held her hands in his, he realized the pain in her eyes and she sniffed. " Help me up!" She said and he held her firmly before they made it up to the feet, " you have to do something, that white haired witch cannot come back here, Gale! Our plans must not fail" she spoke with worry.
Helel walked down the cold muddy streets of Westwood's, people were retiriJng back into their homes and he missed it. Most passerbys turned to look at him again wondering what had made him so changed, he didn't look back and kept on walking and stopped in front of an old house. The fresh scent of snow mixed with the scent of red roses, erupted from the house and became more strong at the door. A smile appeared on his face and he walked further, " what is the matter dear, you look exceptionally out? " Lady Norma asked with worry, Esther gave a small smile not reaching her eyes." I am Fine just thinking..." She said and continued clearing the spoilt beans from the good ones, she was about making vegetable beans soup. Lady Norma placed a hand on her shoulder, " its okay to miss him dear! After all you are his mother, no?" She asked and Esther nodded a smile forming on her face weakly. " You know he looks like his father, memories of him only brings pain to me.....yet I still think of it as, how would my son think? Helel's father is still alive and well" she said as a tear rolled down her cheeks and she was quick to wipe it away with the back of her hand. Lady Norma looked a little surprised, she knew there was something to be told by Esther but she also knew how much it affected her when ever the topic about her past was raised. Esther's voice broke when she tried to speak more and she swallowed, " I- I can't hide it from him for long (sniffed) but I can't tell him, that- that he is a prince of this land. I thought I could escape the pain he put me through and forget about him but ha!.....who was I fooling? When everything about Helel is him, the king even took my son's looks also leaving me nothing for my own son to take from me, remembering me of him everyday and- I....I miss him so much" she broke into tears and the sound of her cry filled the room, lady Norma rubbed her arms to comfort her. After crying some more, she continued, " and I know why my son is different from other vampire kids, because his father the king of Devlot is different and more powerful than his people thinks, I knew I wouldn't have a normal child yet I refused to let the prophecy come to pass...
And I will still fight for the little light in my son to shine, the palace is not safe for anyone! I met the king's right hand man and I hope he doesn't come after us. I had left the palace as they wanted so I expect them to leave us alone, Helel must not find out about this! We belong here don't we?" She asked lady Norma her eyes shining yet the pain could not be hidden. Lady Norma nodded and they both turned to the entrance of the sitting room, Helel stood there his eyes wide and filled with anger which showed clearly on his face, he stared at them with disbelief and opened his mouth but nothing came out. Esther shivered and looked at lady Norma who was as shocked as she was, they had no idea he was coming home today and that too this time. Esther stood up and walked to him to play damp, "h- how, I mean you are here!" She exclaimed with a fake smile and she tried to touch his cheeks but he pulled away from her. " What shouldn't I know? Are you hiding anything from me, mother?" He rather said and Esther's eyes widened, her lips trembled yet she didn't say anything and tried to touch him again, this time he growled at her making her take a step back. " N- no am not hiding anything from you" she answered and a tear fell from the right eye of Helel before he closed his eyes and shook his head. " You're lying! I heard everything yet you won't tell it to my face?" He asked her with disbelief pure in his dark red eyes, his face had soured up and he took a step back and again, " son! Am sorry I- I was going to tell you-" her words cut short by the angry tone of her son, " really! Were you really going to tell me that I was a prince and that my father was alive and a king as well!....no you wouldn't, you said that too mother!!" He roared, more angry at the ladies in the room. The tears didn't stop dropping from their eyes and pain filled the room, Helel turned around and left the house closing the door with his raging mana and the door cracked, some part getting smashed by the force. With that no one was able to follow him even though Esther wanted to after calling out his name, she broke down on the floor in tears with lady Norma by her side.
