Cut Him Off

Princess Rizelle darted her eyes to her husband when she heard him. Then she watched as her maid handed the bowl to the Prince and left with Captain Villiam and the royal physician. The door was shut and once again, she found herself awkwardly alone with her husband.

With the bowl of medicine in his hand, Nicien Vamieres walked toward his wife and pulled a chair closer to the bed before he sat down. He put the bowl on top of the drawer near the bed. However, his next action made the Princess's eyes grow wide in shock!

"What are you doing?" Rizelle asked the Prince who crouched down in front of her. When he reached for her leg, she tensed up and moved away.

"You should take this medicine and have some rest," Nicien finally said while looking up at her. "For that, you need to lie down and I'm only trying to help you remove your boots. You injured your arm, remember?"

"But I can do that myself," she protested.
