Getting out of the elevator, both Avey and Alex saw a slender figure leaning against Alex's BMW, the slender figure was holding a cigar in between her fingers.

" Should we call the police?" Avery asked

Alex looked at her, gave her a light smile and held her hand, they walked towards the figure.

" What do you want Veronica?" Veronica turned to face Alex, she frowned when she saw Avery;

" Who is she?" She asked.

" That's none of your business, answer my damn question, what do you want?" he grumbled

Veronica puffed a smoke before saying

" Baby Alex, you know you can't cheat on me just like that, right?"Veronica said eyeing Avery

" Also Bruce's company has offered me a proposal to work for them".

Veronica said while moving towards Alex, she stood an inch away from him, threw the cigar away and wrapped her arm around Alex's neck.

" You know, I miss you, I mean all of you."

She traced her fingers crossed to Alex's tailored suit and bit her lower lip.

Alex closed his eyes, moved back and yanked her arm away from him.

"Don't touch me!"Alex growled

" Why?, Uh? Is it because of that bitch" Veronica said pointing to Avery

"Don't call her that. She is nothing like you."Alex angrily said

Veronica laughed like a maniac and looked at Avery.

"He's using you, bitch. He changes girls like rugs, he doesn't like you, he only loves your body and nothing else ".

Veronica exclaimed.

" Don't listen to her, she's a psychopath," Alex said.

The argument left Avery dumbfounded, she slipped her hand away from Alex and looked at the two human beings in front of her.

Feeling her hand slipping away, he felt a pang in his heart that he didn't understand;

"Do you believe her?"

" I don't know what is going on right now, so please don't involve me," Avery said looking at Alex.

" So you believe her, don't you?" Alex asked

Avery bit her lips and took a deep breath,

" Alex, sorry sir, it has been months since I worked for you and I don't really know you, your matter is none of my business, so please let me go home in peace".

"I'll send you home "

" So that you can fuck her?"Veronica spouted

Avery turned red from Veronica's words.

" Why do you wanna join? It won't hurt to do a threesome, right Alex ?"

" You fucking bitch!"Veronica roared moving towards Avery's hair

"Don't touch her!".Alex said pushing Veronica away with his strength.

Alex held Avery's hand and led her to the car, he slammed the door when Avery got inside and looked at Veronica before saying

"I don't want to see you near my company or me and also Avery!".

After talking he drove the car away.

"Avery!"Veronica muttered to herself

Driving on the highway, Alex was driving with a stern look on, Avery cleared her throat before saying

"Please drop me at Ross Road," Avery said

"Do you live near Ross Road?"

"No, I don't " Avery answered

" Ok," Alex said

Minutes later, Alex stopped at Riss Road. Before Averywould open the door Alex said

"I know you hate me as your boss or any ordinary guy, but don't pay attention to what Veronica said earlier, she's insane".

" As I told you earlier, it's your matter not mine. So please don't involve me in it".Avery said.

" Do you hate that much?"Alex couldn't help but ask

" I don't hate you, so please don't put words in my mouth."Avery replied before getting out

" Damn it!" Alex said punching the steering wheel .
