Chapter 51

The living room buzzed with a quiet warmth as the three of them sat on the plush, newly upholstered couch.

The soft glow of the overhead light bathed the room in a golden hue, and for the first time in years, Diara felt a sliver of peace. She glanced at Raymond and Ziora, her heart swelling with gratitude.

"I don't know what I would have done without you two," she said softly, her voice laced with emotion. "You've been by my side through everything. I don't even have the words to thank you properly."

Raymond gave her a small, reassuring smile. "You don't have to thank us, Diara. That's what friends are for."

Ziora, on the other hand, waved her hand dismissively, her lips curling into a grin. "Oh, don't get all mushy on me. You're going to make me cry," she teased, through her eyes betrayed the fondness she felt.
