I need some space

I stood outside the door, tears streaming down my face. I had never felt so alone and scared. I didn't know what the future held or if Priscoll could ever be able to forgive me.

I made my way back downstairs, feeling like I was walking through a nightmare. I couldn't believe that everything was falling apart.

As I reached the living room, I saw my phone on the table. I walked over to it and decided to call my brother.

"Hey, brother," I said, trying to hold back tears.

"There's something you need to know. I just messed up today."

"What is it?" my brother asked, concern evident in his voice.

I took a deep breath and began to recount the entire story.

"Well, I've been lying to Priscoll..."

My brother listened attentively, and when I finished, he exclaimed,

"What could you be lying to him for? Do you know that you're supposed to be telling him things so that you can help him remember his memory? But instead, you lied to him."
