Chapter 278 HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2

AUTHODS NOTE: I've not been regular with the updates for quite some time which I apologize for, I'll update regularly from now on.

"Thank you everyone for coming, the party begins now." After my announcement, I went in to welcome Sage and Phillips who just arrived with their handsome baby boy. I always knew Sage's kids would be so cute, we talk about that a lot. At the same time, Maya and Carlos arrived too, we've developed a sisterly bond lately so it was normal to invite her over.

"Hazel," Maya called, we exchanged hugs. "Carlos." "Mrs. Wilson." Carlos greeted before the maids ushered him into the men's section, actually to Alex's section. It's cute they all left their work to acknowledge my baby's birthday party "Carie." Maya greeted for Carie to give a slit know. What Maya did to Carie is unforgivable so I understand if she wants to stay away from Maya, but I can see guilt and change in her eyes.

Maya's changed now, she's no longer the wicked heartless girl we all knew. She is happy and satisfied with Carlos and her current family. "I haven't had time to visit Beverly is she alright." From the look on her face, I could tell Berv was not doing alright. "She's getting better but more aggressive and filled with hate, if she eventually comes out of that place Hazel, please stay away from her," Maya said calmly but I could tell it was a warning.

Darla got out of the mansion, then I knew my babies were ready for their party. Taking their position behind the stage and in their little toy box designed for them, the event announcer held his mic ready to announce their arrival. This is a magical moment, it was more beautiful than their first birthday party together. I darted my gaze around in search of Alex till I found him walking out of the mansion to the arena.

He winked at me when he caught me staring, Alex is the cutest man in the world to me. He promised to only appear at the beginning of the event, but here he is entwining my hands in his as he pressed his lips on them. "Naughty you," I whispered my cheeks already turning warm from his action.

I don't think I can ever get used to all of this, the more I get to know Alex, the more I love him more than ever. "What are you thinking about?" I met his gaze and quickly darted my gaze, I could swear my cheeks had turned red from all of this. "Who's the naughty one now?" He smiled squeezing my hands slightly.

We both stared at the kids ready to be uncovered, "Welcome everyone to this party, we're so happy you honored our invitation." The announcer began, "It's time for our wonderful celebrant to arrive on stage."

"Madam, Sir, junior has refused to get into his box." Gaius informed with a bow, "let him be if he doesn't want to Gaius." Alex instructed for the man to bow before leaving. "I hope now you wouldn't argue who he took after." "He took after me." Alex finally accepted. We both knew junior took after him, even if he deliberately refused to agree to the truth that was right in front of him.

The big boxes were displayed each box represented their perfect toys and I could see my babies in there. They were perfect except for Junior who didn't seem like one that cared about the party, "Daddy!" Leah screamed from her box waving those little hands-on seeing her father, for the first time in my life I felt jealous of Alex.

I'm the one who gets to stay with them while he goes away yet I'm not being acknowledged here. Alex waved back at her with an unending smile on his lips, "My princess." He muttered. "She's the most beautiful isn't she?"

"I told you not to have a second my love, I have something to tell you after this party." His tone turned serious and I only nodded to his words. The kids were out of the box and Leah rushed to hug her bestie Lila who hugged her back. Both girls just couldn't get enough of each other, and the slightest chance they get to spend together they just never let go.

From the side of my eyes, it felt like someone stared at me, but when I turned around, I found no one staring which was strange. The kids who got here played with mine, their parents were led to the garden where we all dinned and talked together.

"It's been so long since I last saw you, you look damn good honey." Sage complimented. "Thanks, I and the kids decided to visit their great-great-grandma while Alex was away." She smiled and I returned it. "The Tyrese's mansion at Chicago was recently destroyed, what country did your husband go to again?" A brunette lady asked sipping her juice.

"Stop it, Aunt, this is a party not a place for that kind of talk." Chan cut in. "Isn't it so weird she's the only one who has no idea who she's married to." The same woman said again, I tried as much as possible to avoid her words, I'd already decided not to let a thing destroy my baby's party. It's like I have bad luck for parties.

"My love." I heard a familiar voice from behind, turning around, I hugged mum tightly. I've missed her so much even if it's just been a few days since we last saw each other. "Dad." He kissed my cheek, "My Love." Dad hugged me tenderly. "You look good." He complimented.

"You look good too my love," I said to him, I knew I and mother had a lot to talk about, especially her acting all strange and distant. With one look at that face, I could already tell something was wrong. "Are you alright?" I whispered just for the two of us to hear. Mum nodded slightly as she escorted dad to where Alex and his guys were sitted.

Everything at the party was going according to plan, and I was happy about it until I saw a strange face walking alongside aunty Grace. That familiar face smiled at me, "Hello Hazel." The familiar face is mine.

"Don't tell me you can't recognize me anymore? It's me, Genevieve." She laughed.
