Chapter 219 He's Useless 1

   "You seem a little lost lately, are you alright?" He spread butter around his bread just the same way a certain someone liked it. "Hmm, I've been pretty occupied with work lately". I picked a piece of apple with my fork and chewed. "Doir has been stressing you?" He narrowed his eyes at me. "Thought I told him you're pregnant and he shouldn't stress you?" He sounded irritated and I smiled.

   This is all I've longer for, having someone who actually cares about me genuinely and is willing to do anything for me. He scolds me sometimes and apologize when he realizes I'm not a kid anymore, but who cares....

   "Dad, that's not what I meant. Mr Dior hasn't been stressing me at all, infact he's the best boss anyone would dream of having!" "Y... You called me Dad?" David stammered for the first time since I met him. Even I didn't notice that, he's proven himself countless times to me, so he deserves it.

   "Aren't you my father!" He smiled warmly, "Yes I am, I'm your father!" His smile broadened and I returned it. "You've just made me the happiest father on earth". "In two months we'd be heading back to New York, for an important family dinner!" I frowned at his words. New York held lots of memories that I didn't want to revisit anymore.

    "I'm sorry for the inconveniences, but we need to make some introductions to your family members. I need to let the whole world know I have a beautiful daughter and a smart one at that!" He held my hands in his squeezing it lightly before letting it go. I nodded at his words. "Have you seen mum?"

    "I have, she stays with the Wilson's!" He said calmly for me to be agape. Mum stays with Alex? Is she okay now? Is she looking for me? Is Alex also looking for me too? But if he is he must have found me by now right, it's not like I'm hiding from anyone.

    "Madam, someone's here to see you!" Judith's words broke me off my daze. "Who's that?

   "He said he's Bianca Garrett, Madam's P.A in the office sir!" She didn't dare meet father's gaze. That's cause the man uses harsh tone on his workers and then a warm tone towards me. "Tell him I'll be with him in five!" "Yes Madam!" She walked away.

   "Be careful with those men, they're not up to your standard!" I chocked at his words laughing really hard. "He's just my P.A Dad!" "I hope so!"

   While it was day time in London, it was still pretty much dark in NYC. Just at the entrance of a bar was parked a black limo, indicating an important person had arrived. The two bodyguards that accompanied the car made sure the common folks around vacated until the place was left empty. Their boss was irritated by commoners as he barely mingles with anyone besides his pals.

Benson got out of the car to meet his friends who were said to be in there.

   He has been out of the country since Carie's accident and only spoke to them on the phone, but since he was back tonight.....

   "Benson's here Alex!" Lukas announced to his wasted friend just gazing at a corner. Alex raised his head to see his friend walk in with a frown, "If you guys wanted to invite me to a place, it should have never been this place!" He felt irritated darting his gaze around.

   "You should know this place is safer than the rest of the bars, especially now the paparazzi's of NYC won't let our dear friend be!" Lukas said chuckling lightly. The trio had a common personality, chuckling when they're in deep trouble.

"He caused it to himself. This actually means, Hazel was the light to your world but you denied it countless times!" Benson scuffed but his friend didn't change his facial expression as he stared at him blankly.

   "I've done so many evil, but none is compared to loosing her!" Alex took a drank his entire liquid gulping it all at once. "You always get over things, you can get over this one. She was real to you anyway right?" Benson turned his liquid into a glass. He gave up loving Hazel cause he thought his friend would even if he was hiding it, but he was wrong.

   Gritting his teeth a little, Benson drink the liquid in one go. The last time he saw her, he acted like he wasn't aware of the pain she was going through cause he didn't know how to talk to her. For the first time in his life, he was speechless cause of one woman. "You deserve every bit of what you're going through Alex!"

   "Benson, don't start a fight now. Come on we all came here to have fun at .....!" "Shut up Lukas, when men talk you don't!"

    "What?"

    "You made that woman cry every minute she was with you. Let her be happy for once Alex, you cannot be with any woman and you know that!" "I've changed be.....!" "You believe in that shit too?" Benson smacked his face with his palm.

"I was stupid!" Alex chuckled. "When you loose someone you love, no fun, no prayer is enough to make up for the fact that the only thing you have left is the hole in your heart where that love used to be!" He sniffed the air.

    "I have the best tech company yet, I'm still unable to find this one woman that has made me useless, that has turned my life upside down!" "I'm gonna ask you this, one last time. Do you love her?" They could not understand why he was like this after clearly stating that he would never like the girl.

  "I Love her, it hurts to just figure it out now she's not here!" He said calmly. He's never felt this way for anyone before and it amuses him that a feeling like this exist. In truth, he could find her, but will she forgive him after what she had seen that day. This thought kills him everytime.

Alex got up with lazy eyes deeping his right hands into his pocket. Frustration was evident in his appearance and if one didn't know his true nature, they could be decieved by this pitiful appearance. "I should fire everyone tomorrow!"

   "Where are you heading to?" "My Mansion, where else!" He walked slogishly. "And the news all over?" Lukas asked for the man to pause.

  "I don't give a fuck about anyone or anything!"

"And the asshole?"

   "I'll find her and deal with her myself!" He left without another word.

   "Never seen him this useless before, have an idea where she is?" Both men stared at their friend walking away. "No!" Came the curt reply from Benson as he watched his friend walk away. What pained him more was the fact that Alex was actually changed. The man didn't even pick up a fight with him for actually provoking him. He should kill Maya by now or even make her family pay, but here he was acting like it was not his business.

   "What should we do with Maya, now her stupid sister has said those ridiculous things?" Benson asked this time. People pick sides with who they think is the victim of the story, without an idea on what's really going on. The Balowe's have proven time to time on how much of a peasants they could be they were the family people stayed far from except of course the Wilson's.

"Only Hazel can make everything right. We need to find her!" Lukas declared. "It's easy to find her!" Benson said nonchalantly diluting his drink before taking a sip. It was indeed easy to find Hazel but his dear friends have been searching the wrong places. 

   "If she's able to send a restriction order, it only means she has the money to do so. That only means she's rich. I don't think she's hiding from anyone cause she knows he can no longer do anything to her!" Benson stated for his friend to narrow his eyes at his words.
