After I finally updated the contract with Axel, no more worries piled up in my mind except for thinking about how to seek my brother's approval. My parents seemed excited and radiant, seeing me in a Very Beautiful and luxurious wedding dress. Many of my relatives were Present at The Event thanks to my mother's invitation. She even invited her gossip friends without exception.
While in the dressing room, I eagerly anticipated Emil's presence as one of my bridesmaids. But it seemed like it was just wishful thinking. So far, I still haven't heard any news from him.
Meanwhile, Axel is currently with Toni in his room. Axel looks very nervous, evident from his facial expression. Toni, who sees him at that moment, feels that Axel is Genuinely going to get married.
"Are you very nervous? Isn't this all just part of the contract?" Toni says to Axel. "N-No. I'm not nervous at all. I want this event to end quickly, that's all," Axel denies. "It's Very Clear on your face," Toni replies.
Axel then gazes at the mirror right beside him. He starts adjusting his facial expression to not show that he is genuinely nervous. Axel even tries to control his facial expressions to not look happy or sad. He begins to display his arrogant face and exudes charisma. Axel looks very handsome in a dark black tuxedo. His handsomeness is evident, showing that he comes from a wealthy family.
Axel has not yet seen Summer in her wedding dress. Then, he is intrigued to see Summer in the bride's dressing room. Axel tells Toni that he will go around to check the situation. He doesn't want to be honest with Toni because he knows Toni will mock him. Upon arriving in front of the dressing room, Axel looks around making sure that no one sees him entering Summer's room.
When he opens the door and looks inside, Axel is surprised. He seems to see a princess descending from heaven. The natural beauty radiates from Summer's face, and the white wedding dress makes her shine. "Shit! So beautiful!" Axel exclaims without realizing it. Summer stares at Axel through the mirror in front of her.
"Hey! What are you doing here? Aren't you not supposed to enter here?" I say, looking slyly at Axel. "What? Nothing. I just happened to pass by and was curious about this room," Axel answers a bit nervously and tries to quickly leave the room.
I am Very Surprised to see Axel's unusual behavior. I wonder why I feel skeptical about the reason he just mentioned. After all, it's clearly written on the door that this is the bride's dressing room. Shouldn't he know it's my room, and he shouldn't just enter like that? Oh well, I don't understand what he's thinking at all.
The event is about to start; I start getting ready and am about to leave the dressing room with the help of some committee members. My feelings are getting more and more nervous because I am entering a new phase of life that I never thought of before. I prepare to step onto the magnificent stage, accompanied by my father, heading to where Axel is waiting for me. My hands are slightly trembling as I can see so many eyes looking at me.
My father tries to calm me down. I start walking step by step, towards where Axel is waiting for me, and with so many people watching, I begin to stride on the magnificent stage. At that moment, I thought that my current wedding might be the dream of many women who want to get married.
I arrive in front of Axel; my father, who was holding my hand before, releases it and gives it to Axel. I stand there, silently watching the process. There is not even a smile on my face. In my mind, I am still thinking about Hakim. Yes, as long as I look at the guests, I don't see The Presence of my brother at all. It feels sad, but what can I do? He chose not to come because he didn't want this marriage to happen. Maybe by now, he has returned abroad without my knowledge.
The event proceeds solemnly. The reading of the wedding vows by, The Religious Figure resonates throughout the grand hall. Unconsciously, my eyes start to well up, not because I am moved but because it just happens. I don't know what I was thinking at that moment. Finally, after all The ceremonial processes are Completed, we are officially a married couple. And as usual, at The end of the ceremony, the newlyweds will kiss each other.
The two of us start to gaze at each other. I wonder if we should kiss now as a sign that we are Truly married and also to reassure both of our families. "Hmm, should we kiss?" I think to myself, looking at Axel. "Of course, if it's necessary. Come closer," Axel says in his mind, which is clearly reflected on his face. "Are you insane? I will never kiss you," I say, looking at him sardonically.
The two of us seem to be speaking telepathically. Somehow, we both understand the meaning of our gaze at that moment. We make a slight movement on our faces, and then we both realize and understand it. Because I don't want to kiss Axel, suddenly Axel approaches me and pulls my waist close to him. He kisses me right on my lips. I am surprised and can only stay silent, wide-eyed.
I can't believe that. He is once again doing something presumptuous without my consent. His thin and moist lips collide with mine, which look thick and coated with intense lip tint. I feel how soft the touch is make me momentarily enchanted by it. Cheers and Applause from below The stage echo throughout The room. Those who attended the event seemed to be witnessing a romantic scene like in Romance movies.
"What is this? Why is it so tender? Does he regularly take care of his lips? Have I forgotten what kissing feels like?" I say to myself.
Shortly afterward, Axel releases his arms that have been hugging me, as well as his soft lips. I became embarrassed because of it. I see Axel, who remains calm while smiling at everyone is watching us. Unexpectedly, Axel plays his role very well.
