Axel had just finished a fitting for the tuxedo he would wear on the wedding day. Then he received a message, which turned out to be from Summer. Initially, Axel intentionally avoided meeting her earlier because he was afraid. Summer might change her mind. Axel didn't want Summer to do anything that could ruin his carefully laid plans.
However, the threatening message from Summer compelled him to Finally, agree to meet her. In the message, Summer stated that if Axel refused to meet her, she would not attend the wedding. This surprised Axel, and he had no choice but to accept the meeting.
Axel had taken care of all the wedding preparations himself. Like any groom, he wanted his wedding to be perfect. Before proposing to Summer, he had discussed it with his parents. Initially, his father thought Axel might be joking, but seeing Axel so enthusiastic about preparing everything convinced him that his only son was indeed getting married.
The purpose of this marriage for Axel was to secure his assets. He wanted to ensure that his father would never be able to touch his assets. Therefore, he had to comply with the conditions set by his father. If he Got married, some of his father's assets, would be immediately transferred to him. Conversely, if he didn't get married within the specified time, all of his and his father's assets, would never be inherited and would be voluntarily donated to social services.
Feeling challenged, Axel was fortunate to meet Summer, who had similar interests, making it easy for Axel to execute his plans. Axel was even willing to hire a renowned designer and a well-known wedding organizer to handle the wedding.
Although Axel had a busy schedule, he canceled everything to meet Summer at the designated place. Toni, his secretary, accompanied him.
"Should I wait for you?" Toni asked. "No need, you can go back to the office. I'll contact you when it is Done," Axel replied.
Axel began searching for Summer in a not-so-large café. Despite looking around, he couldn't find her anywhere. Axel decided to look elsewhere and ordered his favorite espresso while waiting. Almost half an hour passed, and Summer still hadn't arrived. Axel started to get annoyed and muttered to himself, "Is this woman playing games with me? Damn!"
Axel thought that Summer might be teasing him, deliberately making those threats out of frustration. Finally, Axel decided to leave. As he stood up, a woman suddenly appeared In front of him, asking him to sit back down. It was Summer.
"Where are you going? Sit!" she said abruptly. Axel, who had just stood up, sat back down. "Why did it take you so long? I've told you I hate people who aren't punctual with appointments," Axel said irritably. "There was an issue earlier. I apologize," I said, pretending to be sorry. "Why did you threaten me like that? Were you doing it on purpose?" Axel asked. "Yes, I did it on Purpose because you kept ignoring my messages," I explained.
We began arguing more intensely than expected. Unbelievably, we spent an hour Arguing and quarreling. Eventually, I realized that we were wasting too much time. "Enough, it's endless if we continue like this. I wanted to meet you to discuss the contract," I told Axel.
Upon hearing that Summer wanted to discuss the contract, Axel fell silent. He wondered if Summer might cancel the contract altogether. Axel tried to act as if he wasn't surprised at all. He even displayed his arrogant demeanor in front of Summer.
"Continue," Axel said, looking at me with his Sarcastic gaze.
I explained to him that I wanted to add some important points to the agreement. Since we were getting married, several crucial points needed to be added such as not getting too close to each other when living together, no excessive physical contact except in emergencies in front of both sets of parents, and, most importantly, no flirting. Hearing this made Axel somewhat relieved. Summer was only meeting him to update the contract. Axel even managed to crack a small smile, catching Summer off guard.
"What's wrong with you? Is something funny here?" I asked, looking at Axel strangely. "Huh? No-Nothing. Go on, go on," Axel replied, asking me to continue listing the points to be added to the contract. I went through each point in detail.
"Wait, Wait, What? Flirting? Ck. How could I flirt with you? You don't even look sexy to me," Axel said, sounding condescending. "Well, it doesn't matter. I hope you never eat your words," I retorted. I looked at Axel cynically, hoping to convey that I was not interested in him either. "Is it done?" Axel asked when I fell silent. "Yes, that's it. Let's sign it together," I said.
We finally signed the revised contract. After finishing, Axel abruptly excused himself, leaving me waiting for an explanation about what had happened between his father and me. I hesitated to ask, expecting Axel to apologize on behalf of his father for demeaning me and equating me to a gold digger.
"Don't you want to say something?" I asked him suddenly. "Hmm, I don't think so," Axel replied. "Ugh, he isn't sensitive, still arrogant as ever," I complained silently.
Axel knew that Summer might be waiting for an Apology from him regarding the incident with his father. However, due to his considerable pride, Axel didn't want Summer to think he was too weak in front of her, so he maintained his arrogant attitude.
Summer appeared upset, so she thought that Axel might not admit his mistake earlier. Summer believed that Axel might be similar to his father, making him unable to speak and unlikely to offend him again. "Should I reconsider marrying him?" Summer thought.
Summer felt that Axel might not change. She knew well that Axel's arrogant nature wouldn't change easily, especially because of her. Summer may have realized that what she was doing at the moment was only to fulfill her family's wishes, and she couldn't find a way out. In other words, she was doing all of this out of necessity.
