On A Date

Natali was waiting for her father in the car. She kept on wondering why her father was still inside the house.

Few minutes later, Martins walked out of Kelvin's house with hasty steps. Natali saw her father's hand was bent and his face looked pale. "Father, what happened to your hand?"

"Let's go to the hospital, Drive!" Martins said coldly. He ignored Natali's question and ordered the driver. Natali didn't dare to ask again. She quickly opened the door and helped her father to get into the car.

After their car drove off, Natali couldn't help but felt curious in her heart. She wanted to know what happened.

"Father, who bent your hand like this?" Natali asked. Without asking, she actually knew who did it. But she wanted to hear from her father. After all, she shouldn't just assume. She wanted to know if Kelvin was really that cruel.

"Kelvin." Martins replied, gritting his teeth.

As Natali guessed, Kelvin did this to her father. Could it be that Kelvin broke her father's hand in exchange for forgiveness?

"Has he forgiven us? Is he willing to partner with your company again?" Natali asked.

Martins immediately turned his head and looked at his daughter. How could he have a daughter this stupid? Because of his daughter's stupidity, he lost his cooperation with the Williams Family. Because of his daughter's stupidity, his plans fell apart.

"You still dare to ask such a question? Don't you know who caused all this?" Martins's hand hurt so badly that he became more annoyed when he looked at Natali.

All of this was her fault, that even her family company got involved. It was better she kept shut.

Natali quickly changed the conversation. She had an information that would make her father happy at least. "Father, yesterday I met Jewel. Jewel told me that her brother; Oscar, will be returning to the country soon..."

Instead of being being happy, Martins actually got a headache. "Oscar likes Luliyah, not you. Now, you have been dumped by the Williams Family. How could the Juyat Family make you a daughter-in-law?"

"But we better not have anything to do with Kelvin. Father, you saw how cruel that man was..."

Of course, Martins knew that he shouldn't make Kelvin more angry. That man was too dangerous. But it looked like it was too late. They had provoked Kelvin.

"When will Oscar return to the country?" Martins asked.

"Next month." Natali replied.

"Hmm... You have to find a way to approach Oscar." Martins knew that the chances he had to cooperate with the Williams Family was very low. Now, he must get another way.

At Kelvin's house...

"I'll get you tea." Luliyah took the opportunity to make tea for Kelvin to calm his nerves. Apart from that, she also wanted to leave the living room because she was still shocked by the incident.

After Luliyah went to the kitchen, Kelvin decided to rest in his study. Mrs Binta followed him to the second floor because she was worried about him. Harris was out at the moment, so no one was with Kelvin.

"Sir, why didn't you tell me that you were married?" Mrs Binta asked directly when they were in the study.

Kelvin didn't mind Mrs Binta's question. She has been working for him since he was a child, so they were very close. "What else could I do?" Kelvin said with a faint smile, "If Martins found out about my relationship with Luliyah earlier, he would definitely use it to cooperate with the Williams Group."

Mrs Binta nodded. Seeing Martins attitude, she could tell the man is very cunning.

"Mrs Binta, when Harris comes back, tell him to see me." Kelvin said.

"Yes sir." The moment she answered, Kelvin suddenly turned his head towards the door of the study room. Mrs Binta also turned her head in the same direction as Kelvin. She saw a shadow that was visible from the study door.

Mrs Binta was shocked. How did Kelvin know there was a shadow? He didn't even hear a sound. However, Mrs Binta felt very happy. It looked like Kelvin's vision had improved. Or maybe he could see already...

Mrs Binta hurriedly quickly walked to the door and opened it. It was Luliyah that was there, carrying two cups of tea.

With Mrs Binta's help, Luliyah entered the study. Mrs Binta hurriedly made her way out, leaving Luliyah and Kelvin to discuss.

After the door was closed, Luliyah put the teacups on the table and sat on a chair facing Kelvin. At that time, she was thinking about how she would start a conversation with him. Should she apologize for her father's actions?

"Are you blaming me for breaking for breaking your father's hand?" Before Luliyah was done thinking, Kelvin already started a conversation. In fact, he didn't feel guilty about breaking Martins's hand. He did all that for Luliyah.

"No. You are not wrong. He forced me and wanted to take me home just because I will be useful to him." Luliyah said quietly. Luliyah held her hands tightly, feeling very restless, "My father is a cunning man. He will keep bothering you until he gets what he wants."

Luliyah was worried that her father would not stop bothering Kelvin.

"I am a businessman. In business, I always consider the benefits I get. There's no need to worry about me." Kelvin replied.

Apart from that, Luliyah was also worried about their marriage.

"Kelvin... I still haven't graduated from the University. Before I graduate, can we keep our marriage a secret for a while?" Luliyah asked in a low voice.

Kelvin was silent for a moment when he heard Luliyah's request. His hand was about to touch the teacup in front of him, but he suddenly stopped when he heard her. "If you want to keep our marriage a secret, then how do we explain our relationship?"

"Girlfriend?" Luliyah answered with a shy smile.

Seeing this, Kelvin regained his composure. A faint smile crossed his face. At least, Luliyah was willing to admit that she had a relationship with him. He took the teacup again, brought it to his lips and took a sip.

"What do people who date usually do?" He asked casually.

Luliyah blinked repeatedly when she heard the question, "Have you never been in love?" She asked back.

Kelvin cleared his throat and answered, "Do I look like I'm short of women?"

Luliyah noticed his handsome face, tall body, gentle attitude and great wealth... There was no way Kelvin would be short of women. There must be many women who want to be Kelvin's lover.

"No..." Luliyah honestly answered as she shook her head.

"I'm just wondering, how people of your age fall in love and what they do while dating." They had quite an age gap. Luliyah was still 20 years old while Kelvin was in his early 30s. Even if there was a lot of women who wanted to be his lover, it didn't mean that Kelvin wanted to date just any woman.

Kelvin asked while looking straight at Luliyah, making her feel embarrassed under his gaze. Looking at Kelvin's eyes, Luliyah felt that the man seated in front of her was not blind at all.

Moreover, Luliyah felt a little embarrassed by Kelvin's question. She was ashamed to discuss love issues with a man.

"I didn't date during college. People who are dating, usually go on dates, take walks, eat, watch movies and so on." Luliyah answered.

"Didn't you date during college because you couldn't get over your ex?" Kelvin asked in a light tone. That tone made Luliyah feel relaxed a bit. But, she still had to be careful about answering the question. Kelvin's mood could change in a second if she answers incorrectly.

Kelvin found out her former lover.

Of course the man did. Still, there was something Kelvin didn't know.

"No. I was busy studying and working. I had to finish my college soon. I also had to take care of my mother's flower garden to pay for her hospital bills and college tuition. Where would I have gotten the time to fall in love?" Luliyah quietly answered.

"Then, since we are dating, let's go on a date tomorrow." Kelvin said excitedly.
