Life struggles after marriage

In every life one feels always happy after marriage but this happiness some times is shorten when your life partner is nothing but unfaithful. This is the short story of a destitute young woman called Maria Gorette living in Africa in a small village called Ayiribu in northern part of Uganda.

Maria got married to Ben after a short courtship of 6 months, and all was blissful as they were always happy, moved around together, supported each other in all situations. Ben was a man who loved politics more than ever looking for a job to keep the family so Maria became the bread winner of the family, doing all supportive work while Ben did the moving around for his political gains. All seemed moving on well until the couple decided to start having a family. On birth of their first baby, things started changing as responsibilities of Maria increased yet her salary remained the same and Ben still could not look for a job.

Nearly two years Maria got pregnant again and this time around things turned from bad to worst as Covid 19 worsened the situation as her salary was reduced yet responsibilities increased and still Ben could not give in a helping hand. To add salt to the wound, Ben became a womaniser Maria had never seen, he started having multiple girl friends despite of the fact that he was jobless yet still was able to have the guts to cheap on her loving, caring, faithful and supportive wife. He could not even afford to buy for his own kids, no provide other basic needs like education and roof over their heads.

Maria has had enough of this suffering and decided to confront him but of course as usual men always deny the truth but Maria came prepared with all evidence and eventually Ben accepted that he was cheating, no reason given, that is how dumb and useless some men can be sometimes. Maria as a woman and a mother decided to struggle on her own, look after her children and let the man who takes pride before his own children, cant even do any work but prefers to look for high office jobs which are totally hard to get especially in this low developing country. She is a happily self determined single mother making ends meet to support her lovely two kids while Ben is living his reckless useless life having different multiple women which surely will end him in big trouble of dying young miserable man.

Tactically from this story, i would conclude that never judge a book by its cover, not all that glitters is gold, always take time to take a long time step in life as people always pretend. Marriage needs endurance and sacrifice which i believe Maria tried and tried and could not hold it any more. Always believe in your self dont let others pull you down their unsuccessful path. You can make your own path and destiny.
