CH91. He sees through her smile

Ye Xiao Xiao does not reply to him. So what he cares about is his family? It makes some sense now. 

He does not want to make his family appear like they can run away from their responsibilities. It is a normal thing to do.

But would he disregard all that he did to her had it not been for his family?

He has taken advantage of her several times. And he has never been apologetic even once.

Instead, she has had to live with the guilt of his actions. She has been living here so strangely.

This boss has been giving her some absurd demands. He has even been threatening her.

No matter how genuine it looks, he finds his flaws by looking at her.

She is smoking, but her eyes are doing the opposite. He can see both anger and sadness in them.

"Did you here me Xiao Xiao?" Lu Min Chen asks.

"Mmh," she nods. "I understand what you are saying. It is just that I do not see the reason you should punish yourself like that. This can remain a secret between us. No one will say anything."

"Punish myself?" Lu Min Chen asks. He is not happy with how she is analysing these things.

Does she think that he is punishing himself by forcing himself to marry her?

Why is this girl so naive? She never looks at life from its positive perspectives, especially when dealing with him.

"Yeah, you are punishing yourself by forcing yourself to marry me. I know you are doing it for the sake of image, but I am really fine," Ye Xiao Xiao responds and looks away from him.

She will hate herself forever if she traps this man in between. She can't settle for a marriage she had not planned for.

She has heard that men change in time. If there marriage is forced, and he gets someone better in the future, her life will be a living hell.

She was told that men can do everything to get rid of you once you are no longer needed in their lives. 

And that it has happened to many who find their true loves after they are already married.

Lu Min Chen keeps observing her every action. At such a time, he feels like he should actually cut through her mind and see what she is thinking.

"But what if I am not punishing myself?" He asks her and wishes that she would look at him again. She gas been trying very much yo avoid looking back into his eyes.
