CH80. I am resigning

...

In the morning, Ye Xiao Xiao wakes and sits lazily in her bed. She still remembers one think, that she is resigning today.

She takes her phone and tries calling Lin Mo, but the call still does not go through. She creases her brows. 

What happened? Did he go abroad? She sighs again and sends him another message, telling him to call her when he sees it. Then, she keeps her phone away.

Since there is no one else she can call, she has to wait. 

She cleans up, but today, she does not dress up for work. She packs up her things well before heading out.

Even though she is late, Manager Chen does not mind. But seeing her dressed differently today, she is shocked.

"Good morning Manager Chen?" She greets carefully.

"Are you okay Ye Xiao Xiao?" Manager Chen asks and puts back the tray of food that was supposed to be sent to the young master. "Are you going somewhere?"

"I am resigning," she says quietly. "I am sorry manager Chen," she adds when she sees how shocked the manager is.

"You...Ye Xiao Xiao, is something wrong? Did someone bully you?" Manager Chen asks.

"No, I just want to go back home," Ye Xiao Xiao says. "I had already talked this out with the young master."

"You told him? What did he say?" Manager Chen is so shocked that he does not even know how to react. "The young master knows that you are resigning?"

Ye Xiao Xiao nods her head. "I informed him."

"Did he agree?" Manager Chen asks. "Ye Xiao Xiao, you should just say if something is wrong. The young master will surely handle it. You can't resign like this."

But Ye Xiao Xiao shakes her head. "I really want to resign. Can you help me complete it."

Manager Chen remains in place for a long time. "Okay," she says. "But...take this breakfast to him first...then hear what he has to say."

Ye Xiao Xiao shakes her head. "I cannot do that Manager Chen. I stopped working yesterday."

Seeing that she has really made up her mind, Manager Chen gets afraid. "Okay, let me try and see. Wait for me here."

The young master who has been waiting impatiently for his breakfast hears a knock on the door.

He has been wanting to see Ye Xiao Xiao from the time he left her yesterday.

His heart beats faster. He groans in response and the door is pushed open.

But he only sees manager Chen walk in with his breakfast in hands. 

"What happened?" He asks seeing the worried look on her face.

"Young Master, it is Ye Xiao Xiao," Manager Chen says after carefully placing the food on the table.

Lu Min Chen stands up immediately he hears that name. "What happened? Is she okay?"

Manager Chen is even more worried when he reacts like this. It shows that the young master really cares about her.

Why would Ye Xiao Xiao want to resign all of a sudden. Of all the people who have worked here, she is the first person ever to ask for resignation.
