CH51. Can you give me a chance

Ye Xiao Xiao looks away again and nods her head. He not only scared her, but shocked her.

"But can you still answer me?" He asks almost trembling. He wants to be sure of this answer first.

"Why do you ask young master?" She asks. "I think that is going against what that should be questionable between a boss and his servant."

Lu Min Chen holds her chin and looks into her eyes. "Don't you think we have already done more than that?" He asks.

He has kissed her, he has brought her good, he has fed her, what else makes her still want to maintain the pure servant boss relationship.

Xiao Xiao evades his look and remains quiet.

"Can you give me that answer then? I just want to know," Lu Min Chen says.

"I don't have," Xiao Xiao says while shaking her head. 

And this answer brightens President Lu Min Chen's heart. She is not dating! At least he has a chance.

"Then can you give me a chance?" He asks, gaining a little courage.

But Ye Xiao Xiao shakes her head immediately. "No!" She shouts. She stops when she sees his face turn dark, she looks away. "Young Master," she calls. "We just can't. I see you as my boss still. It won't be good."

Lu Min Chen remains very quiet after she has turned him down. His first rejection! And on the first try ever in his life. Why is she so daring?

He looks into her scared eyes for a long time, thinking that she might change her mind. 

But the girl says nothing more. She just tries so much to look anywhere else as long as it is not his eyes.

With a heavy heart, he releases her chin and stands up. With one last look at her, he walks out and gently shuts the door behind him.

'Ye Xiao Xiao! You appear out of nowhere and begin torturing my heart. Then you turn me down..."

He gets so bitter and remains silent all the way to his home. He feels like he has lost a lot in his life already. 

And he just does not want to think about anything now. He is hurt. And he feels bad.

Instead of going to bed, he goes straight to his study and locks the door. He sinks himself into work, to prevent himself from thinking too much.

Ye Xiao Xiao on the other side remains in a trance. These things happened so fast.

And the young master proposed to her without any warning. She had no choice, it was her instincts that pushed her to shout a 'no'.

But the man said nothing more to her. All she knows is that all the softness he had for her before dissipated in an instant.
