CH342. Why are you back?

"Oh?" He says and looks behind Lu Min Chen. "I thought you brought her with you. Why are you back?" 

Lu Min Chen's lips twitch. "Grandpa, where is she?" He asks in anger.

Old Lu halts and looks at him. "Didn't you go to find her? Why are you asking me about her now?" 

"Grandpa, I am asking again. Where is Ye Xiao Xiao?" His anger prevents him from listening to him.

He just warned him about her some hours ago, and now she is missing. Even the most stupid person in the world would suspect something.

"Listen carefully young man," the old man declares coldly. "I am your grandfather, and she is just an outsider. Whom are you going to believe between the two of us?"

But Lu Min Chen does not care about his tone. "Grandpa, if I do not find her today..."

Then he turns around and walks out. He does not see the need to keep arguing with the old man.

It is almost obvious that he will not say anything about it to him.

His assistant is already waiting, trembling just by thinking of what that happened last time.

"I have already sent out our men," he says quickly as he opens the car door for Lu Min Chen.

Old Lu remains silent for a while after Lu Min Chen leaves. 

Then he makes a call. "Find out who kidnapped that stupid woman," he orders.

And only a few minutes later, he receives the call.

"Chairman, there is a possibility that Miss Lei is behind it," the person reports.

"Miss Lei..." Old Lu repeats the name on his head. Then a smile appears on his lips. "I like such courageious people..."

Without saying anything more to his assistant, he hangs up and makes another call.

Lei Ran is a bit shocked to see the old man calling her. He had indeed said that he would help her get married to Lu Min Chen if she struggled to get Ye Xiao Xiao out of the way.

After hesitating from a while, she picks it up. "Grandpa," she calls obediently.

"Miss Lei, I have just heard of what you have done," the old man says.

Lei Ran shivers for some seconds. Does that mean that people already know of what that she has done?

"Grandpa?" She calls in confusion.

"Ah, relax. Lu Min Chen does not know anything about it. I wanted to congratulate you on that. And I wonder if you would like me to give you some good tip?"

Lei Ran finally calms down. She knew that the old man is always against Ye Xiao Xiao. 

So obviously, he would never tell Lu Min Chen anything about what she has done.

"I would like a helping hand from grandpa," she says. She knows that she can only succeed when she has his hand.

"Good. I like how clever and courageous you are. You are a good match for my grandson. All we need now is to open his eyes," the old man says.
