CH311. Determined to stop them

At lunch break, her next neighbor, Chu Rui looks at her with pity. "Why don't you go for lunch first. I will help you with the work when we come back."

All through the other people's conversations, she had remained quiet. And one would not tell which side she supported.

Ye Xiao Xiao smiles at her. "I am really fine. I do not feel like eating anything today."

Chu Rui sighs. But she does not say any more. 

The office remains so quiet. Only  Ye Xiao Xiao remains seated. She knows that she has to finish the work before evening because Lu Min Chen will not allow her to work at home.

However, she had understimated his abilities.

When she is busy working, someone holds onto her hands stopping her from working.

She turns in confusion, only to meet Lu Min Chen's handsome face. "Are they bullying you again?" He asks and looks at her.

Ye Xiao Xiao immediately shakes her head. She cannot complain about everything to him.

"You have not gone for lunch," he comments. "Is something wrong?"

Ye Xiao Xiao turns to face him and shakes her head. "No, I am fine."

"Okay, come with me," Lu Min Chen says and pulls her up. " Let us have lunch together?"

"Um...but," Ye Xiao Xiao says as she looks at the work on her desk. She is supposed to do it all.

"Come, if they give you trouble about work, you can just say a word to me. And I will fire all of them," Lu Min Chen tells her with a smile.

"Can you?" Ye Xiao Xiao asks him, looking at him in confusion. For some reason, she feels like this man is spoiling her. And she is touched.

"Should we give it a try?" He asks her, his brows raised. And Ye Xiao Xiao shakes her head immediately.

Ye Xiao Xiao relaxes when they see no one outside. And they take his private elevator to his floor.

But just as they get out, they find Lei Ran waiting.

Ye Xiao Xiao freezes for a second and wishes that she had not come. She tries pulling away her hand that Lu Min Chen is holding.

But Lu Min Chen hugs her instead. Then he looks at Lei Ran, who is shocked to see him with Ye Xiao Xiao. 

"Miss Lei?" He calls. 

"President Lu, there is..." Lei Ran begins to speak. She came up intentionally because she knew that Lu Min Chen would be alone.

And she was hoping that he would invite her for lunch. But this woman has ruined her plans already.

"If there is anything, can we talk about it after lunch?" Lu Min Chen asks politely.

"Um... Okay," Lei Ran says after swallowing hard. She feels angered.

Lu Min Chen assumes her and walks with Ye Xiao Xiao in his embrace towards his office.

"Ah...sorry President Lu," Lei Ran clears her throat. Is Ye Xiao Xiao going to have lunch with Lu Min Chen? She will make sure she stops them.
