CH293. You lied

" What truth?" Ye Xiao Xiao asks quickly. If there is hope of her leaving this place, she is willing to grab it.

The sounds of birds chirping outside can be heard. And she knows that it is morning. 

She keeps praying that Lu Min Chen comes for her.

With the information she has given him, she knows he can find her. But that is if he is willing to find her.

"What do you know about this?" The man asks, handing her the piece of paper.

Ye Xiao Xiao stretches her freezing hands and takes the paper from him. 

But looking at the words on it, she freezes first. How many such papers are in this world?

This is the exact paper that  Old Lu gave her in the lab on Friday. And he was so clear that it is confidential.

No one would steal it from him, right? Old Lu is powerful!

She keeps her eyes lowered, pretending to be reading the words, but her heart begins beating fast.

Could it be that the old man doubts her sincerity and he has decided to use this men to test her?

And maybe he can even kill her if she betrays him...

He looks at the man before her and looks at the paper again. "Procedure of making something I guess?" She asks with a confused look.

The man remains quiet, his gaze on her face, and especially on her eyes.

Ye Xiao Xiao swallows hard again. Will he find out that she is lying to him.

She looks away. " Did I guess wrong?" She asks fearfully.

"Nope," the man says. "You are right. What is the procedure for?"

Ye Xiao Xiao looks at the paper again and shakes her head. "I do not know."

The man looks at her. And from his eyes, Ye Xiao Xiao can tell that he is smiling. Did he see through her?

"You lied," the man speaks up. "You know what the consequences are?"

Ye Xiao Xiao shivers, but she continues looking at his eyes. "What is it for? I am seeing it for the first time."

"Tsk tsk," the man chuckles. "Do you know that more lies are more dangerous than just one?"

Ye Xiao Xiao gulps. This man must be aware of everything that is going on.

He laughs again and her uneasiness. "Relax, or I will think that you want to give me another lie," the man says and holds her shoulder, looking into her eyes.

But just when Ye Xiao Xiao thinks that he is going to do something to her, he retreats and puts the paper into his pockets.

And he brings out another paper, and it is a picture. " What about this one? Do you know who she is?"

Ye Xiao Xiao looks at the picture and purses her lips. Then she laughs and looks at the man.

"This is me," she says and looks at the picture again. "But...where did you find it?"

The man seems a little confused. He looks back at her. "That is you?"
