CH21. Their karma will come soon

"Leave once you are done," he says without looking at her. Like a chameleon, Xiao Xiao wags her tongue in embarrassment. But since she has been asked to leave, she bows and walks out obediently.

Before taking him lunch, the manager stops her first. "Be careful, the president is in a foul mood," he warns her lovingly.

At such times, the big boss is always so cold. He even lashes out on some of the employees.

Xiao Xiao nods in understanding. She also witnessed this in the the morning. She had pretended to be good and greeted him. But all she received was his cold voice sending him out. 

What happened to him at night? When Xiao Xiao returned to her room early in the morning, he was already gone. She does not know the time that he left.

After knocking on the door, she walks in since she knows that he won't answer her. And she even prefers this silence. Everyone should stick to their positions, none bothering the other.

She respectfully places the food on the table and realises that he has not come to the dining today.

She walks to his office to call him. "Young master, your lunch is ready," she says.

The man still says nothing to her. But since she has done what that is required of her, she leaves.

It is only later when Lu Min Chen goes to eat. But since he has delayed for so long, the food is already cold. 

"Ye Xiao Xiao!" He calls angrily. He does not even realise that it is his own mistake for failing to eat at the right time.

Xiao Xiao rushes to the office. "Young master?" She calls in confusion. Why did he shout her name like that? He even scared the little kids she was looking after.

"Do you have some problem?" The man asks coldly. "Can you eat such a food?"

Xiao Xiao looks at the plate of untouched food and feels like throwing an abuse at him. So what of the food has turned cold? She did her part in calling him on time!

"I called you..."

"Go warm it for me," the man cuts off the words that were about to get out of her mouth. Everyone knows that he called him, but can't she keep it to herself?

Xiao Xiao wants to complain but she remembers that it is her job to serve him like that. She picks up the food and walks out. But there is this bitterness that she has in her heart.

She smiles when an idea comes into her mind and walks back to the kitchen. 'You won't bully me again young master!'

When she comes back, the man is still waiting for his food. She respectfully places the food before him. "Young master, your food."

Without waiting for his response, which she was obviously not going to get, she walks out again.

She won't bother herself with these cold bullies in the office. Their karma will come soon.
