CH2. Force of attraction emanating from her

Xiao Xiao nods in understanding. She does not want to wrong those in authority.

"I hope all will be well as long as you do your work as required," Manager Chen explains. "You are supposed to be serving him all of his meals. I will help you during the first few times. You can help with the children during the remaining time of the day."

After her duties are explained to her, Xiao Xiao lies down to rest. Because she has just reported to work, she is given time to prepare herself for the start of work.

The orphanage is a big place. The young master has his own office in the same compound, only that it is surrounded by block fence and a huge gate. His company is just outside the orphanage.

There is also a school where most of the orphans attend classes. There are dormitories and everything else that an orphanage would need.

The following morning, Xiao Xiao is woken up to go and see the Young Master. He is the only son of the Lu family, President Min Chen.

She follows behind the manager into the young master's office with a sleepy face. "Good morning young master," the manager greets. "This is the Ye Xiao Xiao that was supposed to report to work."

She bows her head in respect. Xiao Xiao follows suit and does the same. 

But without raising his head from the pile of work,Young master Lu thanks the manager and asks her to leave. Xiao Xiao is left alone with him in the office. 

After the door is closed, the young master raises his head and looks at the young girl before him. The young girl he was once so close to at a younger age.

This was the one young girl he had rescued from kidnappers when she was barely seven years old. He was only thirteen years old himself at the same time.

The first time he saw her, he had felt a certain force of attraction emanating from her. At such a young age, she was very beautiful and attractive. But he kept all these thoughts to himself. But he never saw her again in the years that followed.

He doesn't know what actually happened. The girl had spent two days at his house, and he became inseparable from her. But she disappeared all of a sudden and he never saw her again.

He had tried asking his parents about her but they brushed him off. He suspected they had something to do with her disappearance. 

However, it was only when he was twenty years old that he realised that she was the daughter of the Ye's.

Even now, when he stares at her sleepy face before him, he feels himself getting confused. He does not want to take his eyes off her.

He lets himself scrutinize her angelic face that is just in front of him. Even though she seems to be dozing off in his office, he still says nothing.

He takes time looking at her fairly light skin and long hair and how carefree she seems to be.
