CH161. They are not even friends

He should be walking with Han Chan instead. She wants nothing to do with him anymore.

Lu Yu Yan throws the glass away with the wine when she realises that her friend is being taken away.

"No, third brother," she says and runs after them. "I won't take it anymore. Let me stay with her please," she says in a begging tone.

She does not have any friend with her in this country. It is good that she has acquired one today.

But this brother of hers wants to take her away. She curses in her head.

Just then, Lu Yu Tan appears. "Yan'er," he calls. Lu Yu Yan turns to see her first brother. "Brother, I want her to be my friend. But third brother is taking her away."

Lu Yu Tan looks at Lu Min Chen pulling Ye Xiao Xiao away and smiles. "When will you grow up Yan'er?" He questions. "If you want her to be your sister in law, then let her stay with him. They need their time alone for now."

Lu Yu Yan's eyes light up when she hears that. "Can she be my sister in law? Grandpa wants third brother to get engaged to the other woman!"

She gets angry again when she remembers how the old man had treated Ye Xiao Xiao coldly.

"Third brother is not stupid. He will get what he wants. Come with me, grandpa is looking for you," he says and pulls her hand.

He knows his third brother. And he is glad that his always icy brother is now into a woman.

There were even rumours internationally that Lu Min Chen is gay. He relaxes seeing him so much absorbed by a woman.

He wonders why his grandfather cannot just let Lu Min Chen marry the woman he loves.

It would be bad if he were the one being forced to marry a woman he hates to the born.

He knows that Lu Min Chen has always hated Han Chan. He is a bit older than them and understands some of these things.

The whole of Lu Ming's family is introduced to the friends and remaining family members.

People toast them a drink and welcome them to the country. It is a happy occasion.

The old man finds a chance when Ye Xiao Xiao is away from Lu Min Chen and approaches her with Han Chan. 

"Ye Xiao Xiao, since Han Chan and you know each other. I want you to help her up the stage as she will be exchanging rings with Min Chen," he says.

It does not look like a request. He is making his own command.

"Why do you want her to do it? They are not even friends," Lu Min Chen says approaching them.

He knows that the old man is just trying to make things difficult for Ye Xiao Xiao.

"She should have come with someone else to do that for her," he adds and begins pulling Ye Xiao Xiao away.

"Min Chen!" The old man calls angrily. He wants to make Ye Xiao Xiao know her position.
