CH159. You are invited

She looks at Han Chan, who smiles at her annoyingly. She feels so bad.

She was so stupid to trust her words that day. So it was true, she was into Lu Min Chen.

But she does not show any of her emotions on her face. She smiles warmly again, melting the hearts of the other siblings and their parents. "You are right grandpa, I know Miss Han. And...President Lu had already mentioned about his engagement to me. I am happy for them."

They are shocked. She is not like the other women. She should have gotten angry and thrown a tantrum. Or she would have just left the table angrily.

But she maintained her smile and assured them that she knows about the engagement.

"That is good then," The old man replies coldly. "You should keep your distance from him then. It won't be good if his name is tarnished when there is nothing between you two."

"I understand grandpa," Ye Xiao Xiao replies and attempts to stand up. She looks at everyone and smiles. "It was good knowing all of you."

The only person who gets angry is Lu Min Chen. When did he tell her about Han Chan?

Does it mean that she actually cares nothing about him that she does not get angry because he is getting engaged to someone else?

He holds her hand and prevents her from leaving. "Grandpa personally invited you. You cannot leave. Am I right grandpa?" He asks him.

The old man grinds his teeth. It would have been better if Ye Xiao Xiao left. But his stubborn grandson is still holding her back.

But since he asked Lu Min Chen to bring her along, he cannot deny it. So he nods his head. "Yeah, that is true. You are invited. Take a seat."

Ye Xiao Xiao swallows hard. It would have been better if she had left. Why are they still holding her back?

She creases her brows. She just wants to leave and take a breath somewhere else.

"That is right," First Madam Lu says. "You are good to chat to. Sit here with us."

The other people nod in agreement. She is left with no choice but to stay back.

Lu Hong and his wife arrive a bit later. The old man looks at them with a sigh. "I hope you did enough of your love stuffs while you were still home," he says.

He has seen these two do some funny stuffs. They would not even care about the people present. Their love always dominate everything else.

Lu Min Chen's mom smiles happily when she sees Ye Xiao Xiao. "Xiao Xiao is also here," she says happily and walks towards her.

She bends down and kisses her cheeks. "Mom missed you. How has  Ah Chen been treating you..."

She remembers that the old man is present and shuts her mouth. Her husband had mentioned to her that the old man wants Lu Min Chen to get engaged to Han Chan today.
