CH139. Hurry up Xiao Xiao, they are here

"Okay, don't tell anyone anything. It is dangerous. Don't leave if I don't come for you. The only other person you can trust is Ah Chen, okay?" 

After explaining things to her, he had left. But the whole day,Ye Xiao Xiao was so scared.

People wanted to kill her, but why? She had not offended anyone.

And she has a brother? Brother Ting is her brother? No wonder he has been so good to her. He is her brother!

And he wants to save her from bad people. She will leave with him tonight. Then she might meet her parents.

But at night, when she was waiting for Gu Han Ting, she heard a commotion. Everyone else was asleep apart from her.

She listened first. "Xiao Xiao, are you asleep?" Came Brother Ting's scared voice.

She turned to look and saw him. He had come to save her. But then she realised that something was off. People seemed to be rushing from the other side.

They were checking the other children on their beds, asking for their names. "Who is Ye Xiao Xiao here?" She heard the voice of a man.

"Hurry up Xiao Xiao, they are here," Gu Han Ting had said.

Ye Xiao Xiao quickly moved to the window and Gu Han Ting carried her out.

They just landed to the ground when the whole building caught fire. Gu Han Ting was also trembling.

Since they did not have time, they began running. But those people seemed to have seen them and began running after them.

He pulled her behind some bushes. Then he called Lu Min Chen. He begged him to save her.

He showed Ye Xiao Xiao a different direction. "Go this way, Ah Chen is coming for you. I will mislead them."

"Brother Ting, I am scared, let us go together," she had said.

"We shall be fine. Go Xiao Xiao, we have no time," he said and pushed her towards the road.

Then he began running in the opposite direction. 

As Ye Xiao Xiao was running away, she saw the men following Gu Han Ting. But she knew she had to find Ah Chen to save them.

She did not know for how long she ran before she saw the car approaching. But since she was not sure that it was Lu Min Chen, she stood by the road to look.

Luckily, it was him. She had the urge to save her brother now.

Lu Min Chen trembled a little more when he heard her. "I have talked to him, he is okay. Let us go away from here first," he told her.

He could see the flames of the burning orphanage some distance away. This could not be an easy matter. He had to protect her first, just like Ting had requested.

That boy risked everything to save her. He could not let him down at the end.
