CH12. Such an ungrateful soul!

Lu Min Chen's mouth twitches. Is she remembering that only after she is done eating?

However, he looks away from her. "I don't eat left overs ," he says coldly.

Xiao Xiao purses her lips. Of course...she has been so stupid to say that. It is her who has eaten his left overs. And she even used the same chopsticks as him! 

She shivers at the thought. Was that an indirect kiss? She looks at the man and her large eyes blink.

"What?" Lu Min Chen asks her. Why is she looking at him like that? Did she do something wrong when he was not looking?

But Xiao Xiao shakes her head immediately. "Nothing!" She says. She looks at the chopsticks again.

Then like a guilty kid, she takes them and drops them in the thrash bin at the corner of the room.

Lu Min Chen creases his brows. "Why did you throw them?" Will she be throwing them after eating? Isn't she going to make his orphanage poor soon?

"They are dirty," she states carelessly and peeps at the bin again. She picks some tissues on the table and wipes her lips then deposits them in the bin, on top of the chopsticks.

Something dawns  on Lu Min Chen. He purses his lips. Did she throw them because they have shared them? He wants to say something but shuts his mouth at the last moment.

"It is time to sleep young master," Xiao Xiao announces. "I hope you won't mind leaving now. Thank you for the food."

Lu Min Chen is shocked again. She is chasing him out immediately she is satisfied? Such an ungrateful soul!

When he hesitates to stand up, Xiao Xiao takes a peep out. "It is not very dark. I know the young master cannot be scared of the dark. So, I won't be sending him off."

Sigh! Young master Lu looks at her again and stands up. He takes a step towards her with his hands in his pockets.

Xiao Xiao, who has just been so courageous a few seconds ago retreats fearfully to the wall. "Good night young master..." She says.

She does not want to get any closer to him. She has not forgotten what he did to her in the morning. She has only chosen to assume it for the time being because he has given her food.

The man smiles when he sees her restlessness kicking in. He blocks her view and bends towards her. "The young master is not afraid of anything. Even..." He bends even lower and kisses her cheeks.

Xiao Xiao trembles again. "Young...young master..."

But the man straightens as if he has not done anything and looks outside. "It is a very cold night..." He tilts his head to look at her. "Does the courageous miss Ye mind giving the young master shelter?"

His words shock Xiao Xiao. She immediately shakes her head. "The young master's house must be warmer than this little room. If there is nothing else, I will send the young master to the door," she says hurriedly and bites her lips.
