CH106. Someone will think that they are a lovely couple

"Why did you save me?" Ye Xiao Xiao asks him. How did he even know that she was near the pool and that she had been pushed in if he had not called for her?

She remembers how touched she felt when she realised that it was him who saved her.

He jumped into the cold water himself to save her.

"Because I wanted to save you," he says. "Just don't worry, I will take good care of you from now onwards."

"Is it necessary?" She asks. "I am really planning to resign," she adds and looks at his face.

And like she had expected, his face turns dark. She waits for him to get mad at her. Why did she even say it?

But after some hesitation, Lu Min Chen only holds her hand and smiles. "Don't talk about that again Ye Xiao Xiao. Don't worry, your life is going to be different from here. No one will bully you."

He had wanted to ask her to go home with him if she really wanted to resign, but he knows that she won't agree.

So, keeping her at work is the only option he has for now. Later, he will lay down his strategies on how to deal with  her.

Of course, he is not planning to let her keep working at the orphanage. She will sooner or later be his wife.

She is just supposed to sit and let everything she wants to be done for her.

Ye Xiao Xiao is a bit surprised by his response. But she says nothing to him. She won't go against him today.

Even though he bullies her at times, she has just realised that he cares about her. Why else would he risk his health and jump into the water to save her?

It seems like he is not as bad as she had thought. If she treats him well, he might be better to her too.

"Let me find Manager Chen to send you food," he says. He now pays more attention to her stomach that likes misbehaving when he is around.

He has been with her here for more than six hours. She must be hungry.

Ye Xiao Xiao does not turn him down. She is hungry and would like to eat something.

Lu Min Chen feels good when she does not try turning him down today.

'She is more lovable when she becomes obedient,' he thinks and sends manager Chen a message.

A few minutes later, she is brought food. Lu Min Chen insists on feeding her.

They both eat happily. Someone would think that they are a lovely couple.

It is only when they are done eating that Lu Min Chen stands up. "Rest for a while. I have some work to complete," he says and gets out of his office.

Ye Xiao Xiao nods and obediently goes to sleep. After all, sleeping in this room is more comfortable that her squeezed up little room.

And no one will disturb her sleep today. This is his office. People don't enter and leave as they wish.
