"So, where is it?"

Ren and Zest, both of them followed the map but still couldn't figure out the place both of them were supposed to go.

It's been a while since both came out of the bar after getting the map of the hideout but all they were doing was running round and round in vain.

"Master! I think it must be hidden with magic."

"Huh? Shit! Why didn't I think of it?!"

Ren just sighed over not thinking such a normal thing. Maybe it is because most people under him are a kind of barbarian who prefers to use hands rather than magic.

Well what can he say, he himself is also one of them.

"Zest. You being a magician must be a bit sensitive to mana. Search for it. Even a tiny trace of fine."

"Yes."

Zest closed her eyes and released some kind of energy. Even though he couldn't see it, he easily felt it.

'Must be mana.'

After a minute or so, she finally opened her eyes.

"I found it."

"Where is it?"

"About there."

Ren followed behind Zest who showed him the foreign mana trace she could feel from her search magic.

"Master, I found it here. But…"

Both of them reached the place where Zest felt the trace, but there was nothing unusual about it.

The surroundings were the same with no abnormality.

"Leave it to me. Destroying things is a speciality of mine."

Just because he didn't know how to solve it, all Ren has to do is to destroy it. No, better to say to kill it.

"Mystic Eyes!"

He opened up his dark chilled blue eyes and looked around. And then he found the lines which were more unusual above a house than the rest.

It was like a cover was above it.

'They must be using barrier magic with illusion and alarm enchantment.'

The place he was looking at was indeed covered with a magic barrier which had no defense power, but it was carved to act as an illusion tool to make people not see anything unusual and it had an alarm system which warns the inside if someone enters the barrier.

"It may fool a normal one, but for me it is just a matter of seconds."

"Emperor!"

The gun appeared in his hand and without any hesitation, Ren shot it to the death points of the barrier.

Bang! Bang!

With web-like cracks all around the barrier, it collapsed just like a fragile glass in a second!

And with that Ren's eyes returned to normal and the gun disappeared as well.

"Hmm… it seems the new emerging leader in the 3rd district is worthy of his reputation."

Slowly with resounding steps, a man full clad in black came from the creepy mansion which was revealed after the barrier collapse.

"You…"

"My name is Code-S1, and the one who will lead you to the leader of our assassins - Code-A1."

Ren was looking at the man who was talking frivolously with him.

'I always thought these assassins would be like the typical ones, devoid of any emotions but it seems they are something else.'

The assassins in Ren's mind were always like the ones he saw in his previous life, who were said to be killers with no emotion.

'But indeed they use some coded names as identity.'

It was indeed old fashioned but it gave him an impression of them being assassins.

Meanwhile, Code-S1 despite his frivolous facade, was looking and measuring up Ren.

Without a doubt, the magic barrier is a normal test better to a criteria for the customer to pass to meet them.

If a customer can't even do this, then they as famed assassins obviously can't deal with this small fish.

And the most important part of this criteria was to map up their opponents.

By looking at the customer using different methods to break the magic barrier, it gives what they are best at.

A knight would use a sword with aura.

A magician would simply use magic.

It is not that rare that the negotiations break out between the parties which lead to the fight between them and the customer.

And being working as an information firm, it is a kind of habit of gathering information on any important person.

'How did he do that? That weapon… it must be the famed long fast ranged weapon. But I am not sure if it carried that much destructive power to destroy the magic barrier.'

The assassin was looking and pondering about it.

It was not difficult for them to know the weapon - Ren, the leader of Avalon uses. It is a very unique and rare weapon and obviously people will try to know about it.

But now when he saw Ren shooting it at the barrier, he was pretty sure that the famed weapon didn't have that much power as he thought.

But still it was able to destroy the barrier. Even though the barrier was not meant for defense, still it is not a shoddy one that could be broken by anyone.

But still it was broken with twin shots. Assassin felt something amiss. He could feel that he missed some important detail about this mysterious leader.

'Thinking too much will make them more suspicious. It is better to lead them to the main dealing room.'

"Please, follow me."

And just like before he said in a cheerful tone and showed them the way to the inside where the famed Assassin's guild hideout is.
