Kip

The yak prepared its charge and shot at Kip full speed. Kip barely managed to slide to the side of it. The yak then crashed into another building wiping it from existence. It got up with another angry yell and turned toward Kip again. How long could he keep this up? He needed an actual plan.

Come on think Kip hissed to himself observing the yak's every move as he dodged another strike. If he could get on top of it somehow he could wait out the ten minutes while distracting it. That could work but how to get on top of it? Climb the tail, sounded risky with its back hooves. Middle? He could imagine himself dangling from its fur as it trotted around smashing him into stuff. Nope not that either.

The yak suddenly jumped again, instead of a big jump it just did a tiny fast one, but it was enough to bring it right in front of Kip. Before Kip had time to think the yak went straight into a charge from its leap. A horn slammed into his stomach and he coughed up some blood before being thrown backwards in the air. The sword in his left hand fell away from the impact.

He really should be glad it hadn't skewered him on the tip, but the current pain was plenty. His whole body smashed into a wall and his vision grayed over for a few seconds. He blinked several times trying to clear it. It slowly faded out just in time for Kip to see a set of horns coming at him again.

He gulped, he had thought before of jumping on the head, but that rack of horns were like a pit of stakes. He didn't have time to dodge to the side though. His whole body felt slow. He ended up running toward it. Someone might have thought he lost his mind just before he dodged under it barely avoiding its set of deadly teeth.

The hooves down here would smash him in seconds, but the yak still head its head down. So Kip did what any crazy person would. He grabbed onto the fur on his neck and held on for the ride.

The yak raised its head again with a bellow. The fur sliced at Kip from all sides leaving several slashes. At this rate maybe he would bleed to death after all.

Kip had one hand wrapped in the fur while his right hand still has his other sword. He jammed it upward into the yak's jaw and then repeated it several times while it screamed.

The beast's blood started to drip down its fur and onto Kip. The yak tossed its head viciously and Kip lost his hold falling back to the ground. He tumbled and rolled across the ground back to his other sword which he quickly picked up.

The yak paused staring at the annoying mosquito that was Kip. It flicked its tail back and forth as if thinking again.

By now every part of Kip's body had a gash of some sort on it. If the yak wanted a quick pause break he had no problem with that. He stared at it watching it. Its eyes flickered back to the frozen guild members. Why was it suddenly looking at them? Shouldn't it have eyes only for Kip?

Suddenly, his watch beeped with the one minute warning. Oh he thought, this yak actually knows of its own time limit does it. He bit the side of his lip, the yak's priority had changed back to killing the guild members. There was no way Kip could stop it if it decided to go for them full force without care toward him.

Unless, Kip's eyes slowly traveled back to the yak's head, how crazy did he feel like being today anyway?

The yak pawed the ground clearly ready to charge at the almost unfrozen guild members. This time Kip stood in front of it not moving out of the way. Yep he really had lost him mind.

The yak lowered its head and snorted, its breath sent a mini sandstorm spiraling away in the dirt. Then it charged full force at him and the guild members.

Kip focused his energy into his feet, this time his aim was to be as solid as possible. He could have laughed if his actual aim was a strength contest. He wasn't going to win that. The yak came at him with its horns down and fire in its eyes.

Three, two, one, the impact was even worse than Kip originally expected it to be. The yak screeched and backed away a sword embedded up to the hilt in its eye. On the hilt clinging on was Kip. He had managed to hang on and not become a Kip-kabob (reference to skewered alive). He dangled from the yak as it returned to its full height.

Before he could let fear control him, Kip swung sideways and stabbed his other sword into its other eye. Without the added force of the charge it didn't manage to go in far, but it did still managed to blind the beast.

He pulled the sword back out and stabbed again. Could this actually manage to kill it? Kip held onto that faint hope as the yak stumbled and fell to the ground.

Good, it had finally started to feel the effects of its blood loss. Kip was feeling it also. His vision had a constant grey off to the side and his muscles were responding slower now.

One more hit should do it. Kip had to focus his trembling hands, he could hardly focus on anything. His blade slashed down at the same time as an aura wave started to leak from the yak.

If Kip had thought before was painful his self now could of laughed. Every inch of his body was on fire and it felt like his skull was melting. No his brain probably was melting from the wave. His blade dug into the beast for the last time and the beast went still its aura wave cut off half way.

It was still plenty though, Kips vision went completely dark as the pain took over his body. Everything went numb as he fell away from the yak.
