As much as Noah was excited to check out the many notifications the system was giving him, there was something more urgent he had to take care of.

Noah looked around for any trace of Jacob but there was none.

What was that? Was that a skill or was it something totally different?

Noah was filled with questions, moreover what really bugged him was that the system mentioned "incapacitated", not killed, meaning that Jacob could very well be alive.

Noah didn't like that one bit. He had tried to end the fight for only one sole purpose, to finish it off without anything unexpected happening.

What he feared most however still occured.

The dark and ominous energy that encased Jacob's body looked very dangerous and smelled of future troubles.

At this point, Noah doubted whether what he did by getting himself involve in this was worthwhile.

Noah could also feel the boundless hate and resentment Jacob bore for him, if he was indeed alive, he would no doubt seek revenge in the future, just like how Noah would if he was put in his shoes.

Noah closed in on the spot where life seemed to have been snuffed out. The ground was black and dried, resembling a dead land. Inspecting the area but not getting too close, Noah noticed a few things.

The green sphere was still there though it looked like it had lost most of its shine and had some visible cracks on its surface, another was that there was a ring on the ground, an inconspicuous ring that didn't really look at that special.

Jacob's right arm which he severed should also be here yet it was not, it seemed to have been destroyed or devoured by the ominous energy.

Noah picked up the items with his hands once he came to the conclusion that it was safe.

[Spatial ring - an item that is embued with spatial magic and can store non-living matter in a separate space.]

[Mana Orb - an item created to enhance and amplify the users mana by twofold.]

Hah.

Noah was pleasantly surprised at the systems cooperation. A panel manifested infront of him describing the two items.

Reading the contents, Noah became surprised.

'How convenient,' he thought.

No wonder Jacob was able to spamm continuous skills one after another, it was because of the Mana Orb. But unfortunately for Noah, looking at the Mana Orb that had lost its glow and already bore some very visible cracks, it looked like it was on its final stand.

Still, Noah found the inconspicuous ring to be very very convenient. Such a ring where you could store certain items would definitely come in handy when a time came where he would have to carry essential items with him that would otherwise be too troublesome to carry in hand.

Noah tried out the spatial ring and once thought about it, the Mana Orb disappeared as the silver ring shone for a second.

Just like that, the item was sent to another space.

Noah wanted to check the limits of the items but right now was not the time, he had to do it later.

Noah approached the dagger he had thrown at Jacob in an attempt to finish him off earlier but failed. Noah looked at the dagger that was on the ground, the blade of the dagger was corroded and oozed with a hint of the same dark ominous energy that surrounded Jacob.

The blade was also carcked and looked like it would break at a touch.

Noah tilted his head to his side and saw a young lady walk close to him. By what he heard in the conversations earlier, this girl was referred to as "young lady", which Noah didn't exactly know why. He could deduce however, that just by her clothing and her title, she was someone with a high status, or at least it looked that way.

Noah's brows furrowed as she looked at the girl with long silvery hair and looked pretty tall compared to girl on earth, she exuded an aura of grace and humbleness as she stood.

However it wasn't that that truly made Noah furrow his brows, it was because the girl had her eyes closed.

Why?

"You're probably wondering why my eyes are closed...it's because, you see... I'm blind." Nulla uttered, despite claiming being blind, she was looking straight into Noah's eyes.

"I cannot see really, though I am very sensitive in terms of mana and can sense a person through my other senses by using mana. In another way, you could say I could see." She further added.

She then looked at the blade that was on the ground as her brows furrowed deep, "This is dark magic, anything and everything it touches gets corroded and will wither. You shouldn't touch an object that have come into contact with such malevolent energy. Especially if the said item is only a normal one and not enchanted by Mana."

"Is that so..." Noah wanted to ask what happened to Jacob but out of nowhere, the girl bowed her head. The guard who was behind her that was the only remaining one also did the same.

"Thank you, we are very grateful for what you did. You have prevented an accident that would have caused a huge loss for our house. Please if you need anything done and it's something we can do, we will do anything to help you back!" Nulla bowed her head, she had been acting all professional and how a heir of a Noble house should act but she knew when to bow her head and when it was needed.

Right now, this kid right infront of them prevented the fall of her house. Despite the situation the Venis house was in, they were a house that never forgets a favor. They were gonna repay him one way or another, may not today, maybe not tomorrow but definitely someday.

The Venis Noble House never forgets a favor!

Moreover, this kid was very strong.

If...if they could recruit him as a part of their house...which currently lacked manpower, it would be a great benefit for them. And even if they could not, at least they could befriend him.

Nulla held hope in her heart no matter how thin it was.
