Jackson’s POV

I opened the door of my house carefully to not wake her up. She looked so pale and fragile. I walked past my brothers whispering to them to shut up due to them being loud. I carried her upstairs while making sure that she doesn't wake up by holding her close. I went to my room and placed her on the bed and putting a blanket on her. I sat there and watched her every movement. Making sure she'd be okay.

I sat down on the bed beside her, but she started to move so I quickly got up. But something wasn't right. I looked closer. She had bruises all over her face and neck seeing this made me sick to my stomach. I couldn't imagine anyone hurting a girl that seemed so sweet. I got on my knees beside the bed and stayed in the same spot for what it seemed to be hours. I just watched her as she cried in her sleep, mumbling " Go away" " Don't Hurt me".

I was shocked by the words that came out of her mouth. Who would hurt her? I thought to myself. I hadn't gotten a good look at her until now. The bruises on her body were evident. I had become enraged by the sight of the bruises that ran up and down arms and legs. The cut on her lip followed by the bruise on her cheek.

She slightly shifted in her sleep, with tears running down her face. "Shhhh. Everything is going to be okay. You're okay now." I held her close to me for the rest of the night fearing that I'd wake up. She seemed to be in a deep sleep while grabbing onto my shirt tightly.

Seeing her this way angered me in a way I didn't recognize. "I'm going to kill whoever did this to her."
