Chapter 42

After eating breakfast, the four of them went out together. The place they were in was astonishing as it was literally in the sea, with safe surrounded swimming areas just after opening the door. It had slides and swings and many other things to have fun too, but they all were leading to fall into the sea

"YAAAAYYYY LET'S GO", Taria shouted while heading towards the long slide, yet Tian pulled her from her collar

"Hey hey hey, what do you think you are doing? You are not allowed to get into the deep water as you are still injured, you can sit peacefully at the edge so only your feet would be touching the water", Tian said, putting on a sun glasses and a cap as he hated the hot sun, and wearing a black t-shirt and a short

"Seriously, Tian! Did you bring me here to wet my feet only?" Taria said, wearing a round hat that he forced her to wear and a swimsuit consisting of a white short and a crop top with ruffles and thin shoulders, however, Tian sat her down gently and took a sunscreen out of her bag that he was carrying all the time, then he started applying it on her skin

"I want to go playyyyy", Taria said grumbling

"No, turn around so I can apply sunscreen on your back", Tian said, and she obeyed him while murmuring

Tian tried his best to apply the sunscreen as gently as he could as her back was still wounded, but once he reached the wounded spot, he paused, staring at it as if it was stabbing his heart. The purple color in the middle of her white skin tightened his chest, yet he touched it softly with shaky fingers, and kissed it smoothly, ignoring Taria who was calling his name

"T..Tian, please stop", Taria said while her face was red and her voice was shaking

He looked at her wound for a little longer, then he took a deep breath and stood up before he loses control over himself.

"You are ready now. You and I would stay here, ok? we can have fun by sitting under the sun and drowning our feet too", Tian said

"We are sitting at the only shaded area in this place, Tian", Taria said, giving him a cold look

"I fear you might get a sun hit or something", Tian said, putting the hat back on her head after she took it of

"Tian please, I swear I won't get to water deeper than my waist, and you already applied sunscreen for me and I'm wearing a hat, nothing bad would happen, let's have some fun like those two", Taria said, pointing at Kai and Josephine who were fighting who would slide first

"Sigh… Ok, but don't go into water deeper than your knees and...", Tian said, but Taria jumped into the water before he even continued his words. He was about to lose his mind as she didn't get out of water for a while, but her bright smile once she got out forced him to get less worried. Her wet hair was shining under the sunlight, and her wide eyes were reflecting the water's blue color, making his heart beat faster. He sat down, looking at her having fun with the people he used to have fun with as a kid, and falling in love with her childishness and energetic personality once again.

"Get down, Tian, the cold water is really refreshing", Taria said

"No, I'm fine here. You can continue splashing water on each other but make sure it doesn't get into your eyes as it would burn, does it hurt anywhere right now?" Tian said, squatting beside the water after he was sitting a little far away from it so he won't get wet

"You really seem like an old sister sometimes. Come on, give me your hand I want to get out", Taria said, but once Tian pulled her out of the water, she pulled him back into it.

Tian hugged Taria to protect her, and once they were under the water, a flashback of the time she confessed snapped in his mind. Her hair was floating closer to his face, and her eyes were sparkling like a sky full of stars, just like that time. He pulled her closer to him, putting his hand behind her head, and he kissed her lips as if he was willing to do that for a long time. She closed her eyes, feeling his warm lips above hers, and feeling the water getting down her throat as the air in her lungs was getting out, after that he pulled her out of the water while she was still surrounding his neck with her arms. They kept staring into each other's eyes, feeling the warmth of their bodies in the middle of the cold water, then a push from Josephine formed another kiss between them

"They look so sweet together, kyaaa", Josephine said

"Yeah, so sweet", Kai said, turning around to not show her the sad look in his eyes, yet she was able to know that he felt burdened as she knew him well, and a heavy feeling filled her heart. On the other hand, Tian and Taria was still burning with their love flames, and they didn't even realize that Kai and Josephine were already out of the water

"I love you, Taria", Tian said with a deep voice

"Is that a sentence for now or an answer for my confession months ago?" Taria said

"Both, it's a sentence that fits the past, present, and future. I loved you, I love you now, and I will love you till the day I die", Tian said

"I love you too, Tai, so much that you already have my soul in your hands. If you are happy, I'm happy, if you are sad, I'm sad, and if you died, I die as well", Taria said, meaning every word she said

"You are too much for me, my lady", Tian said

"I know, mister serial killer", she said, giggling, then she look around her and she finally realized that Kai and Josephine were nowhere to be seen

"Shit, they must have killed each other", Taria said, then they both got out of the water too and went inside to look for the fighting troublemakers, yet none of them could have imagined that a kiss they had could break down the barriers between two other people.

While Taria and Tian were still out, Josephine went inside after Kai, putting her mind, pride, and mother aside and only following her feelings. She opened the door and entered the room where Kai was, then she stood in front of him, calmly and anxious at the same time, then she said "do you want another chance?"

Kai froze as he never thought this moment would actually come, however, his cold sharp face got back fast as a scene of the past snapped in his mind

"A chance with you? No need", Kai said

"Why? You still love me, it's written all over your face, and I'm giving you a chance even after you gave up on me. Don't we deserve happiness? Can't we have our chance to feel love?" Josephine said, looking straight into Kai's eyes and breaking down all his defenses

"Was it.. that obvious? Phine I, when I talked with your mother back then, she told me that she would force you to marry someone else if I didn't break up with you. I had to chose your happiness, I had to put you first even if that meant me getting out of your life, but I never stopped loving you, not even for a single day", Kai said

By that time, both Tian and Taria were overhearing what was said inside the room, or to be exact, Taria was overhearing while Tian was pulling her away. A slapping sound came out of the room, and Josephine started shouting

"Idiot, my happiness is connected with you being in my life. Do you think you saved me by your silly sacrifice? I felt jealous from everyone, Tian for having Taria, everyone at the bar for having a lover, and even Ve for not having these useless feelings, and this jealousy was killing me slowly, Kai. I wished that you would come every night before getting to bed, I wished you were beside me when I needed you, I really wished.. we could be happy together as everyone else", she shouted, and her tears were about to fall down, but his words blocked their way out

"Josephine Leo, the poisonous butterfly of the Leo family, will you give me the honor to be poisoned by your love again. I promise I won't be the one to let go first this time, I promise to be beside you and support you all the time, and I also promise to search for that happiness with you. Can you give me a chance now?" Kai said, holding her hands and pulling her closer to him

"Yes, yes yes yes, you can have this chance, Kai", Josephine said, then she jumped and hugged him tightly, trying to make up for all the moments they spent separated

Taria was already shedding tears out of the door as if she was watching a drama movie. She wanted to get in and hug both of them, but Tian carried her to the other room. He laid her in bed, and started getting closer and closer to her, yet she blocked his mouth with her hands saying "no, brother Ve said to not let you touch me"

"I won't be harsh, I swear. I have been waiting for this moment to come for weeks, Taria, please don't take it away from me", Tian said, using his cute puppy-like eyes to convince her, but when he saw it wasn't working, he changed to the alpha mood instead.

"You were bad today, you jumped in the water carelessly, and you even pulled me into the water too. You should take your punishment now", Tian said with cold sharp eyes

"Tian… just be gentle and try to not leave visible mark", Taria said, covering her mouth with her arm

"Under your command, my queen", Tian said while smirking, and he finally had a good time on that journey.
