Chapter 41

After almost two weeks, Tian and Taria were heading to the airport, delighted to be able to relax after facing many obstacles. Tian's black clothes and sunglasses, the fresh air running through the open-topped car and playing with her hair, and even the tree way that she went through many times were cooling down her heart and giving her a comfy feeling. Taria stood up in the car, feeling the wind hitting her face and getting into her lungs.

"Hey hey hey, sit down you might fall", Tian said

"Rela~x, it's really refreshing", Taria said, then she sat down and held his hand, giving the happiness she felt the chance to light up even the dark sides of her soul. After a while, Ve, who was in a business trip, called, and Tian put the call on speaker so Taria would be able to talk to Ve too

"Brother Ve~, we miss you so much", Taria said brightly

"I don't miss you at all, she is the only one who misses you", Tian said

"Hello, kid, how are you now? Does it hurt anywhere?", Ve said

"No no, I'm fine now. It's still kind of hard to breath when I lay down but it's much better", Taria said

"Have you taken your passports and IDs?" Ve said

"Yes yes, I checked everything this morning", Tian said

"Listen, little brat, you are not allowed to lay a hand on her until she fully recovers. No kisses, no hugs, and no…..", Ve said, but Tian interrupted him before he could complete what he was about to say

"That's none of your business, but don't worry I'm not a monster", Tian said

"Yeah yeah, as if I never saw what her neck would look like after spending the night with you, anyway, kid, stay safe and don't give him a chance to do anything. Don't get into deep water and remember to take your medicine", Ve said, making Taria giggle and making Tian speechless

"Ok, brother, I will take care of myself and Tian. Take care of yourself too, bye bye", Taria said, then Ve ended the call.

Taria saw how annoyed Tian seemed after the call, so she held his hand again and said "hugs will hurt, but kisses are allowed for now"

"No, I prefer staying at the safe side", Tian said while he seemed less bothered

"Said by the young lord himself", Taria said, then they both kept chatting until they reached the airport where Josephine was waiting for them, however, someone else was waiting too. Josephine was about to get burn by her own flames, and Kai was standing calmly beside her, giving Tian a feeling that the journey would be ruined from the beginning

"Why is he coming with us?" Josephine shouted

"I told you that Ve asked me to go with you", Kai said calmly

"Hey hey hey, calm down both of you. If you ruined this trip I would kill you both, let's go honey", Tian said, pulling the bags and Taria at the same time. However, he could realize by the silly smile on her face that she was hiding something.

"Sigh, you were behind that, weren't you?", Tian asked

"Ha, WHAT, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" Taria said nervously

"Honey you can't lie", Tian said

"I just want them to have a chance", Taria murmured, scratching her head and looking away to avoid getting burned by the flames in Tian's eyes

"You destroyed our journey. We will have to keep an eye on them, otherwise one of them would be killed by the other", Tian said, crossing his arms

"Oh come on, don't be sad. We can have fun though", Taria said, but she took that back just after they went into the plane

"HELL NO, I WOULD NEVER SPEND MY TIME BESIDE HIM", Josephine shouted

"Oh stop it, as if I want to stay with you", Kai said

The planmaids and Taria tried to calm them down, but they both refused to sit down as their chairs were beside each other. On the other hand, Tian was sitting down, drinking his coffee peacefully, and leaving that issue to Taria as a punishment for destroying his plans

"Tian please", Taria said, not knowing what to do as everyone was getting annoyed by Josephine and Kai

"Who? Me?" Tian said

"Tiaaaan", Taria said

"Em em", Tian said while sipping his coffee

"Tai… Honey.. My sweet lovely strong brave handsome man", Taria said with sparkling eyes

"That spill doesn't work on me any more, you brought them, you take care of them, I'm out of this", Tian said, then he continued drinking, leaving Taria to calm down a leopard and a tiger by herself.

After a while, someone finally showed up and changed seats with Kai, ending Taria's nightmare and giving her a chance to finally enjoy her journey that was her first.

When they finally reached the Maldives, Taria was so excited to discover her surroundings, yet Tian held her collar and pulled her to the room as she needed to rest after the long road. However, Josephine stole Taria from Tian, leaving him to share a room with Kai and crashing his heart.

"Taria, are you leaving me for her?" Tian said

"She have no other choice, go sleep with that brat", Josephine said, then she closed the door before Tian could say any other thing

Tian went back to his room while steam was getting out of him. The romantic moments he drew in his mind stayed uncompleted, and more than that, he had to babysit a man and a woman hiding their love for each other under their anger.

"So we are spending the night together! How much wine can you handle? I hate dealing with drunk people", Kai said, holding a cup in his hand and offering another one to Tian

"Shut up. I was supposed to get high due to something sweeter than wine but thanks to a certain one I'm stuck with you here. I will take a shower, don't disturb me or I will kill you", Tian said, walking through Kai and heading towards the bathroom.

After almost three hours taking a shower, Tian got out of the bathroom to find Kai sleeping, but rather than being at ease he got displeased hearing Kai's loud snoring. He felt a knife get into his heart again, and he regretted going into that journey before it even began.

On the next morning, Tian got out of bed after the sleepless night that Kai forced him to live. He changed his clothes, and headed towards Taria's room. He knocked on the door, hoping that Taria would be the one to open it, but knowing how deep sleeper his girlfriend was, his hopes weren't that high.

"Good morning", Josephine said, breaking Tian's last hope of seeing Taria.

He pulled her out of the room, then he said "I will take my girl out today, and when we come back, you will be out of the room"

"Well, she is free after 4pm, but I will never leave my room", Josephine said

"Aha, then you won't mind it if I told aunt Mari about your job at the bar. I believe she would be so happy to hear that her precious daughter is working at such a respectable place", Tian said

"Tian, I'm your sister, how can you betray me like this", Josephine said

"Phine, you and Kai deserve a better ending. I know you still love him and so he does, can't you at least fight one more time for that unique thing between you two?" Tian said, then he petted her shoulder and went inside the room to wake Taria up

Josephine stayed still, thinking about what Tian said. She knew that Kai is still the owner of her heart, even after trying so much to kick him out, and she knew that she is still rooted in his heart as well, however, he was the one who retreated first, so why should she be the one to start fighting again?
