Contract Marriage

"Contract marriage? What are you talking about?" Linton asked as his mind was clouded with confusion.

And upon hearing that, Mano explained, "I've did some research on you and I found out that you and your family are not just poor but also in need of help."

"Why don't you do this, Have a contract marriage with me and I'll make sure that you and your family are well taken care of." Mano said as she took a sip of her champagne.

"And what will you benefit from this marriage?" Linton asked and hearing that, A smirk appeared on Mano's lips as she then replied, "You might not know this, but Tedo was once my fiancee."

"We were supposed to get married yesterday but he called off the marriage at the last Minute. He betrayed me and married some other woman who I'm sure you know." Mano said.

"I want to take revenge for what be did to me. He thought he could use me and become rich and then throw me out if his life like trash but I'm Mano Fredlock. No one will ever treat me like that, especially not him."

"So how is that any other of my business?" Linton asked and hearing that, Mano said, "I need you in other to take my revenge. I want him to regret the day he ever left me, I want him to die in jealousy and regret but to make that come true and need a soluble man by my side and since fate accidentally brought us together, I'll make you are out into good use."

"So what do you say, will you marry me Mr. Timothy?" Mano said and hearing that, Linton suddenly stood up as he said in anger, "Listen, you might be powerful and rich but I'm not a tool that you can use for your selfish gains."

"Yes! you are right, I do know who the woman Tedo is married to because she is somehow very special to me. She is my best friend ans I'll never hurt her or try to ruin her marriage. Uf it's Tedo who hurt you then punish him but leave Sophie out of it." Linton shouted.

"He is the one who had fooled both you and Sophie so don't blame my friend for anything. I won't accept this, I would not hurt my best friend just for my own adventure." Saying that, Linton turned around to leave.

And seeing that, Mano shouted, "How dare you leave like that? 24 hours. I'm giving you just 24 hour's to change your mind and if you don't....then forget it, the deal is off."

Saying that, Mano angrily stood up left the breakfast table back to her room.

She was Mano Fredlock, when ever she puts her mind into something then she will totally get it. Who was Linton to dare challenge her, he was gonna come running back to her< just you wait and see.

Walking the Cold and lonely street was Linton as his mind was still clouded by thoughts if everything that had occured.

Although he didn't blame Mano for wanting to take revenge for on Tedo for what he did to her, she was going at it the wrong way.

She shouldn't punish Sophie because she was also a victim just like her. She should just forget about him and leave her life in peace but of course, with her bearing the Fredlock name, it was impossible for her to release her grudge against Tedo so easily.

After the Ten minutes Walk, he finally made it to his Apartment and upon walking towards the front door..he noticed that the door was locked.

"Huh? Did mom go out?" he asked himself and with that, he brought his phone out to give her a call but his eyes widened in shock as he stared at her phone screen.

Which showed '35' Missed calls from Lola, his younger sister who was the oldest of the twins.

And seeing that, he panicked, "What happened that made Lola call me so many times!" He had switched off his phone because when then arrived at the party and he has forgotten to switch it back on.

Quickly dialing on his sister's number, it took some seconds until the voice of his sister was heard and he quickly said, "Lola! what happened? what's going on and why did you call me so much? Did something bad happened?"

He questioned but just then, the words of his sister literally made him freeze in complete shock, "Linton! it Mom! She had an accident!"

"Linton! it's Mom! She had an accident!" Said Lola and hearing that, Linton froze in shock.

"W-what did you just say? where is mom and how did she....what happened?" He questioned.

"I can't explain on the phone Linton, Come to the Graceland Medical hospital unit 356, Quickly!" Lola said before she cut the call and with that, Linton quickly hired a cab as he made his way to the hospital.

Few minutes later, he got to the hospital and quickly went to the unit his mom was kept and upon reaching there, he felt his leg wobble as he gazed upon his pale looking mom who was laying on the white hospital bed and beside her were the twins.

Upon seeing her brother, Lola whose face was devoured in tears quickly ran to her brother and gave him a big bearing hug and he hugged her to.

"Lola! What happened with Mom? How did she get into an accident, she was fine when I left. What happened?" Linton questioned and hearing that, Lola explained.

"Both I and Lily came home but we were welcomed by the voice of our landlord who was shouting at mom as his boys threw all our stuff out of the house." Lola said.

"We threw us out of the house Linton and mom was trying to beg him to give us more time but he wasn't listening. I left to go make a quick call so we could find us an accommodation to stay for the night but then I heard a loud scream and mom was hit." Lola said as she broke down in tears.

"We ran towards her and she was bleeding mercilessly. We quickly rushed into the hospital but the doctor said that she lost alot a blood and what she needs is a blood transfusion but mom has a rare blood type which is hard to find Linton...What are we going to do."

She said as she's collapsed on the ground and Lily quickly ran towards her and held her tightly.

Meanwhile, Linton mind was still clouded in shock. His mom couldn't die! No! not today. Not when he had promised her everything good in this life, this is impossible.

Walking towards his paled mother, Linton held her cold hand as he said, "Who the hell did this to you Ma!"

"Tedo!" Lola said and hearing that, Linton's eyes widened in shock as he said, "What did you just say?"

"Before she fainted, She called on to someone with the Name 'Tedo' Do you know who that is?" Lola asked and hearing that, the furious Linton said, "Yes! I do know that is and his about to take a mouth full of my fist."

"I'll be back Lola, You two take care of Mom. I have something important to do." With that, he turned and left leaving Both Lola and Lily clouded in xx.

Coming out of the taxi was Linton has he made his way straight to Tedo's house.

But he was then stopped by the guards and seeing that, he shouted, "Tedo! Tedo! Let me in this minute."

He said and Sophie who was at the balcony was shocked to see Linton as she said to the guards, "Let him in!" and they did just as instructed.

Entering, Linton walked towards Sophie as he asked, "Sophie! Where is Tedo?"

Hearing that, Sophie said, "His at his study! Why are you looking for him?" She asked but Linton just walked passed her and want straight to his study.

Walking into Tedo's study, Linton could see him seated with his legs crossed and that pissed him off even more.

Walking towards him, Linton grabbed him by the collar as he gave him a huge Punch down his cheeks and Tedo who was caught by surprise couldn't help but staggered by the huge force applied on his cheeks.

"You bastard, why did you do that to my mom. How dare you hit my mom and rub away, who do you think you are?" Linton said angrily as he gave him another punch and this time Tedo was back to his senses.

Upon hearing the words of Linton, Tedo groaned as he said, "How dare you hit me...Who do you think you are to lay your filthy hands on me And your mom, what are you even taking about."

Hearing that, Linton said angrily, "Did you or did you not hit my mom with your car and ran away immediately after hitting her?"

Linton questioned furiously and hearing that, Tedo stayed quiet for a while before the sound of him laughing was heard and hearing that, Linton looked at him completely taken aback.

"Yes! Pauper boy! I did hit your mom!"
