"Really ,"Remi's eyes widened .Kids were like this very easily got happy with little things.
"Yes but now for the time being you could talk to me .I don't mind remembering the old good Harry Potter days,"Adele stated.
"Yay,"Remi squealed and sat next to her while she did her work.
Most of the time he was silently reading, only did he encounter something interesting he shared it with Adele who enthusiastically listened.
Adele attended other customers also, she did one or two mistakes as it was her first day but other coworkers guided her so eventually everything went smoothly.
She had fun on her first day and hoped it will be the same further on also. Some people were very specific about their book requirements but most of them were chill and relaxed making it easier for her to get along with them.
As she was walked towards the bus stop it started to rain heavily so she tried to walk faster and unfortunately as she took few steps her clothes became fully drenched ,sighing she took shelter under the tree.
Adele looked at her watch and then at the sky, it looked like the rain was not going to stop anytime soon.
A car stopped in front of Adele initially she did not give it much thought but when the car stood there even after sometime in this heavy rain she felt something fishy.
The car glass rolled down and the man sharply looked at her without saying a word.
Adele's eyes widened as she recognized the man in front of her, he was none other than the one who saved her in the hotel few days back.
"Get in, I will drop you,"the man declared instead of asking her opinion.
"No need,….I can manage ,"Adele shuttered.
"Don't think so, by the time the rains stops there will be no buses or cabs,"the man mentioned.
"No, thank you .I will …,"Adele was interrupted.
"Think again, the next person who stops here may not be as kind as me, "the man raised his brow.
In fact Adele was also worried as it was getting dark and she was not sure when she will be able to go back to orphanage.
Yes, she did not trust this stranger but it was also true that he has saved her once so he may be not so bad.
She stood there debating whether to take up his offer or not, while he patiently waited for her as if not giving her an option to back out. Finally she decided to take a chance and walked towards him.
Adele went and sat inside the car, the man started the car without even giving her a glance.
"Thanks for helping me that day, "Adele expressed her gratitude.
The man just nodded his head and this is the first time Adele had a clear view of him.
He was so handsome that it hurt her eyes .He was dressed in all black and was so put up that not even a single hair was out of place.
She could make out his biceps through hit shirt and those long fingers holding the steering wheel elegantly.
As she slowly looked up his top two shirt buttons were open and his collar was peeking a bit.
His strong jaw line, high cheekbones, pointed nose and those black soulless eyes were making him look like epitome of beauty.
Suddenly he turned towards Adele and her breath got hitched as he caught her checking him out.
Adele was truly embarrassed as she has never been so mesmerized by any man's looks. She was not sure why she was behaving like a giddy fan girl, she had seen many good looking men in real life and on screen but no one catches her attention like the man sitting next to her.
May be it was his sinister aura or his dark eyes which had a magnetic force making one pull towards him.
The man's expression did not change, may be it was a common occurrence to him as all the women checked him or maybe he did not want to make her uncomfortable.
"So are you a visitor or an employee at the club,"the man questioned.
"I was a part time worker at the kid's birthday party downstairs and had come there to just change my outfit,"Adele replied.
His voice was kind of rough yet alluring that made one listen to him with full concentration. The man did not ask any questions and Adele also turned towards the window.
"Be more aware of your surroundings, also its rainy season better to carry an umbrella, "the man stated after some time.
Then only she noticed her sandals were slightly covered by mud and the car was dirtied by the mud and water.
"Oh, no. I am really sorry .I did not see this before, I can get it cleaned up, "Adele was tensed.
"Its fine, not an issue, "the man waved his hand smoothly.
"Are you sure, I can help, "Adele asked again.
"Yes, let it go,"he said not wanting to argue anymore and she too got the hint and decided to drop this matter.
"Also where should I drop you,"the man questioned.
"Just stop at the X Street,"Adele replied.
"Are you sure, I don't mind dropping you at your place, "the man stated as Adele mentioned the main street instead of the orphanage address.
"Yes, drop me at the corner,"Adele stated as she was not yet comfortable someone knowing her address.
The car stopped and both looked at each other, there was this aura around him dark and moody.
Without even speaking a single word or having a slight change in his expression he made you feel on the edge.
"Mr….,"Adele trailed off thinking even after meeting him two times she was not aware of his name.
"Dante..,"he finished her sentence.
"Thank you Mr. Dante, by the way I'm Adele ,"she introduced himself.
"Adele ,"he repeated her name in a slow sensual way.
