Chapter 11
Fortunately someone held her feet making her regain her balance .Adele stood up and turned around to thank the person who helped her.
She saw Myra sanding far away she frowned thinking how come her friend moved so quickly.
"Myra, I know its dinner time but after helping me cannot you stay back and make sure I'm okay,"Adele joked.
"What do you mean, when did I help you, "Myra was clearly confused.
"Just now, when I was about to fall into pool, "Adele explained.
"You are mistaken ,I am just coming now .The kids told you went in this direction but since it is quite dark I was walking slowly constantly checking if there are some bugs and insects ,"Myra stated.
"Then who helped me, there is no here except us,"Adele slowly looked around her surroundings but did not find a trance of any other human being.
"You must have imagined it, Myra casually remarked.
"No, I am very sure that ..,"Adele was interrupted.
"Finally you got the toy, come lets go quickly I can't stay a minute more in this cold,"Myra shivered.
Adele could not shake off the suspicious feeling, she did not imagine anything .She felt a human touch and it was clear that they held her tightly so that she can regain her balance.
She decided to let this matter go and silently followed Myra .When both of them were out of sight, a figure emerged from behind the trees.
His shiny black shoes took few steps without making any noise, he was in deep thought as if deciding whether he did the right thing or not .Within seconds he had vanished in to the dark without leaving a trance.
"Adele, please. Just once, I promise It will be fun, "Myra stated.
"Really, what's fun in me joining your date, "Adele scoffed.
"Go to the new trending café and try out yummy dishes," Myra said.
When Adele gave a bored look Myra continued,"If you want I can tell my date to bring a friend too."
"You will not do such thing, "Adele was more horrified by this idea.
"Don' tell me you will have nonexistent dating life throughout the college, "Myra asked.
Adele's silence gave her the answer and Myra sighed thinking why this girl was taking life so seriously.
"Come on, you will get a break from college, work, studies routine .Don't you want to explore beyond this,"Myra pleaded.
"Nope,"Adele answered without a second thought.
"Adele, please .This is my first time going out with this guy and I don't want to be alone and miserable if things doesn't end well. If thing don't go as planned at least we can go to movies and have ice cream, "Myra was desperate.
"Fine but remember I am only going because it's your first date,"Adele stated.
"Sure, also if we go on second date I will also prefer some privacy,"Myra chuckled.
Adele shook her head helplessly and went to get ready .She just changed her outfit, put some sunscreen and combed her hair.
While Myra spent lot of time curling her hair and putting makeup.
"Tell me, how I am looking, "Myra gave a cute smile.
"Very pretty, your date will not be able to take off his eyes from you,"Adele complimented her.
"I hope it's true,"Myra giggled.
They reached the destination and the guy was already waiting for Myra with a small bouquet of flowers. Myra was blushing while receiving the flowers. After introducing one other, Adele excused herself stating she will be seated outside.
In the garden there were benches where she sat down and offered a coffee. Thirty minutes passed and Adele peeked to see if Myra was having a good time. Adele got bored and went to wander in the nearby streets.
She was checking the items in a gift shop when someone spoke from behind,"The one in your hand looks good."
Adele turned around to notice a cute guy smiling at her .She did not acknowledge him and moved forward but he started following her.
He went on commenting something as she picked a new item .She got irritated as he did not seem to a take a hint that she had no interest in responding to him.
"What you want, "Adele snapped.
"Your number, "The guy replied.
"Ahhh..,"Adele frowned.
"I saw you at the café sitting alone but by the time I could muster up the courage to approach you, you had already moved out so I followed you,"the guy explained.
"Look just ..,"Adele was interrupted.
"We can exchange number for now and then slowly get to know each other, "the guy suggested.
"I am not interested, leave me alone, "Adele fastened her footsteps and tried to quickly move away from him but he kept on pestering her.
"You are so beautiful, give me a chance and see, "that guy tried to convince Adele as she was about to scold him someone called her name.
She could recognize that voice anywhere it gave chills all over her body and made one listen to his command.
"Is he with you, "the guy asked.
Adele kept quite hoping this guy will finally leave her.
"Got it, "the guy went away.
"Looks like trouble always follows you, "Dante spoke.
"Not always, "Adele was embarrassed.
As always he was dressed in a black suit, his hair neatly styled and his aura cold as ice.
"Who is he,"Dante asked.
"Don't know, he saw me at a café and followed me,"Adele shrugged.
"He met you now and was already so persistent, you need to be harsher while dealing with this type of people,"Dante scoffed.
Adele got irritated seeing Dante implying she was not capable of setting boundaries.
"You always catch me at such instances, I refused him and he was about to leave,"Adele explained.
Dante shook his head as if not believing her.
"Believe me, "Adele did not notice that he had moved closer to her such that their arms were almost touching.
"You could not even talk harshly to him. If I had not come on time he could have kept on harassing you, "Dante hissed.
